Random dumb point to pout out some years later - but apparently the roman numerals on the side there result in the number '1984' - which is the year this game was made! You think there was a reason they couldn't just write down 1984?

Did you know that, while in demo mode, it was possible to somehow control Kage? Not all the time, but some of his movements could be changed. I don't remember exactly what could be done, but there was no cheat code to it. Just mess with controls while demo was in progress. Have you tried it with with MAME? Perhaps it was a bugged bootleg board, as I played in Rio de Janeiro as a kid.

That's cool. The Super real Darwin title screen in the arcade also allowed you to control and fire the strange ship's attack.

No, no they shouldn't, don't fix what's not broken. There is the DS sequel, and the game considered a spiritual sequel on NES, Demon Sword.

NES version better. that's just my opinion.

Not really, the great music you hear here is quite shrilly in the NES version, the graphics got downgraded a bit, and the colors don't pop as well on that version. It's a fair port, but holds no candle to this arcade original.

@@Bloodreign1 the original arcade is the first one to have this game before NES. it's quite understandable that it gets the cake since the music and SFX uses a mix of 16 bit instruments and midi which is total badass. that's just my opinion since I grew up playing the NES version.
