Korra has amazingly complex villains. You’re going to love them.
@bradstrife2211 Жыл бұрын
I think they probably would have went with Korra needing to reconnect with the other elements if they knew they were doing more than 1 season from the start, but I still love season 1 being the self contained ride that it is, and that we get to follow up with more of these fun characters for seasons 2-4.

Glad to see you reach the season finale; these reactions have been super engaging to watch. A note for the production of Korra: for both the first and second seasons, the creative team didn't know they were getting more seasons, so the pacing can seem a bit odd at times. But the third and fourth seasons were made together, and are stellar for it. Hope to see you get there someday!

The villains in Korra are definitely the best part, as every villain has a point. They take it too far, for sure, but in the end what they stand for makes sense considering the world (as you already picked up on that non-benders did feel kinda shafted by benders). Glad you're enjoying it so much!

@@riel4553Plus, technically, they're all the same spirit reincarnated so she's just helping herself ;-) And, well I'll leave that thought there for fear of spoilers! Honestly though I *adore* this ending and I've seen a fair few people in comments sections over the years who've taken a lot of strength from it when they've found their own lives at that lowest point. Music doesn't hurt either, the Avatar theme finally kicking in after a whole season (and that could have been the *only* time we heard it for Avatar Korra if things hadn't panned out) gets me emotional every damn time.

On your question about if Korra could use blood bending to take Amon’s bending away, I would probably say no because since Katara was a water bending teacher, I don’t think that she would teach her blood bending in general because she was the one that outlawed it in the first place, as stated in the episode before this one

its heavily implied that Korra was thinking about committing suicide while looking over the cliff, which i believe and also as Aang said was her truest lowest point.
@ActrixTheTank Жыл бұрын
I know it'll probably be stated in here, but at the end there when Korra was on the cliff, she was going to kill herself. That's what Aang meant by lowest point. In her mind, if she didn't have her bending she wasn't the Avatar, so if she killed herself, the cycle would go on and another Avatar would be born in her place that had bending.
@johanluisrivas8016 Жыл бұрын
She wasn't. That just a theory that doesn't have any sense. You are saying that as if was legit
@jayp9881 Жыл бұрын
@@johanluisrivas8016 it is just a theory sure but to say it doesnt make any sense is wrong. Korra clearly deals with darker themes like mental health and death. We just seen Amon and Tarlok die so we now know death in that sense isnt off the table. We have seen the mental toll losing your bending takes on the bender so it wouldnt be so far off to assume that with korra losing her bending something that katara cant even undo would leave korra in a depressed state. That combined with the imagery used within the scene i think the theory definetly has its place within the show.
@FatLittleButterfly Жыл бұрын
That teardrop over the cliff was really a bigger deal than I initially thought. Korra was at her lowest point and to have a teardrop dropped like that over the cliff you have to be staring down over it.. She said she wasn't the avatar anymore and probably thought about renewing the avatar cycle.. I am glad they restore her bending though, so they can focus on exploring other expect of this world and various view points

what surprises me here is the petrol. It seems that all the engines run purely electrically, why does the boat have a petrol tank? Also, it doesn't seem like there's really much science in chemistry. Medicine is powered by waterbending and electrics by lighning. Heavy machinery will be replaced by Earth Bending, etc.

I think Amon is pretty cool dude not gonna lie. Its amazing how he can handle so many great benders and keep taking their bending or rather like blocking their chi. And how he can still moving while his brother try blood bend him. I guessing if you a stronger blood bender you could use blood bending to prevent other blood bending from bending you. So actually the only way blood bending would be legal to use is to protect urself from being controlled by a blood bender. I don't see anything wrong with that.
@gerardlacroix6015 Жыл бұрын
We know that bloodbending isn't infaillible. Noatak walked through Tarlok's, Aang broke out of Yakone's, and Mako lightninbended Amon through his. It requires strong willpower I guess. ( Also, people love to use Amon's bloodbending to say he was the strongest bender in all the franchise but given how Mako bended through it, I'd say Ozai still takes the crown in that departement )

Man, I'm finally caught up with ur Korra reactions and I can't wait to see more. Personally I love all 4 of Korra's seasons and despite what it might seem at 1st they all r actually part of 1 story, as a story is characters growing and changing with exploration of certain themes, and when u'll finish the entire show u will see how clear Korra's arc throughout it is. Although the creators did make sure that s1's ending would work well as a show ending in case it won't be continued. Now I'm going to recommend u smth that is pretty popular, but I'm not sure u'll like. I noticed u like unique sci-fi and fantasy stories and worlds, and there r a bunch of those among many animated series. And among them 1 of the most unique (if not the most unique) fantasy sci-fi mix is Adventure Time. I'm currently obsessed with it, and would love it if u'd check it out. Its story may seem slow, untill u won't accept that each episode is important, no matter how weird it seems, because Adventure Time's story is made from multiple little story threads jumping between seasons mixed with maturity, immaturity, philosophy and some hidden darkness. Just a warning though. The episodes r 10 minutes each and there r 10 seasons, 4 specials (40 minutes each) and a sequel series (20 min per ep), so it's best to react to 2 or more 10 min ep at a time. ❤❤❤ ur channels (both this 1 and Star Wars 1)

People seem to be conflating whether Korra was considering it with whether it would have happened. Of course Bryke wouldn't have killed off Korra, stand alone series or not. But in that moment, the visuals of the scene and the emotion definitely suggest’s that Korra is considering it. And we can say that and not have it be an issue, because we know that the writers save her. It doesn't mean she didn't think it though.

@@benlezmh1835 But you don't know! They show suicid3 and homicid3 without any problem and with Korra nothing indicated that. They created a character and showed her way and personality and I pay attention enough to see that was her safe place and she never showed any indication of that. But at the end of the day I have what I see and you all have what you think you see.
