You should definitely read the follow up comics for both ATLA and LoK. They’re pretty great and answer a ton of unanswered questions as well as just showing life after the shows.

Don't know if you've read any of the ATLA comics, but there's also a few Korra ones. Comicstorian has videos of them with narration that are pretty decent

2:10 Raiko was definitely in the right to surrender. She had already blown up the Navy and while Korra believed Iroh II could go toe to toe with Kuvira’s army but at that point what can an army do against another army with a giant indiscriminate laser beam. Putting the millions of citizens at risk just because you don’t want to bend the knee is a foolish decision to make and one you can’t afford when you can’t fight back. Korra has an incredibly specialized team of benders that Kuvira can’t fight against( air benders, lavabender, lightning bender and the best metal benders not in her army) but aside from that the army would be mostly standard benders and non benders. And we know they don’t stand a chance after the equalist attacks and the red lotus and specifically Unalaq in the merged form that was just wrecking the city. If anything this is the only Raiko move I actually agree with.

Fun thing about the Dwarvens they were not Dwarves as in other media. By Elder Scrolls standards they were just another race of elves (mer) known as Dwemer and about the same hight. However they kinda lived underground and were the most advanced race. They were named dwarves by giants. Also, they made their own damn God. They built that motherfucker.

Kabru and his team seem to be strong against people(mages, thieves) but weak to monsters. Laos and his team are strong against monsters but weak against people (mages, thieves, etc).

Regarding the orcs, Galadriel was right in Season 1 that orcs were bred merely to be slaves and that they are not like the elves, the dwarves, and the men of Arda. Adar is naive to believe that orcs can be real people. Based on my interpretation and understanding, orcs only mimic the personalities and behavior of the free people to increase their odds of survival and self-preservation. They are like animals who will serve any alpha who shows strength even if that alpha is widely hated and despised. Orcs are natural cowards and deceivers in their own right. They do not understand what a family is or what love is. They can only mimic the behaviors without understanding them. This is how Sauron exploited the naive Adar as he retook control of the orcs. "You demons (orcs) are incomprehensible wild beasts that mimic human voices. Like monsters, demons (orcs) have no custom of raising children, so after they are born, they spend most of their time all alone. You demons (orcs) are creatures that find solitude to be natural, and the concept of 'family' doesn't even exist." - Frieren An example would be that if an orc was raised by a loving family of men, that orc would still betray the family that raised him/her even after all the loving family moments they have gone through. All for the sake of self-preservation. The orc will find a strong entity to follow and cling to no matter how abusive the entity is. It's a tactic of wild animals. Might makes right.

Toph not crushing Kuvira then and there is like what Iroh said in ATLA: even if he could take down Ozai and become Fire Lord, history would see it as a brother killing brother for power, so it had to be the Avatar, and Zuko had to be Fire Lord. Here, even if Toph took down Kuvira, someone else would take her place because her ideals would live on. It has to be Korra, because of what the Avatar represents.

Thankfully on the future of home consoles, we can save all our quarters! 😅

All because of one mistake Kane did when they explored that ship that the rest of the horrible events of this movie followed. They should have just stopped at that Space Jockey and just gotten the hell out of that ship and planet. Nostalgia! 😱👽☠️🚀🪐
