First, The gnome is voiced by legendary voice actor. Corey Burton AKA count dooku from clone wars and Yen Sid from Kingdom hearts. 2:35 since he voiced a famous wizard (Yen Sid), now all I can imagine is him pushing Mickey in front of him as he gets impaled through the head 😆

I love this show displays some kinda niche understanding of biology. The undine is based on irl colony organisms. Like siphonophores, single or multi celled organisms who group together to from a large complex, each cell specialized for different function of the “body”

what i love about this show is that there are logical consequences with every action the characters make, with a regular show, they would have let Namari join the party but this show brought up a really good point that doing something like that would be a huge damage on the adventurer's reputation and clientele.

said this side lore alot elsewhere but here goes again. this is for the old gnome couple and the two tallfolk kiki and kaka from a side chapter/adventurer bible vol 1. reminder: i say side chaps/bible cause so far trigger has not adapted any of those nor if plans to do like ova (original video animations) specials for them based on long term plans and dealwith netflix. kiki and kaka are actually the couple adopted children. long ago if i remember right the twins when very young were given to a traveling merchant after their parents gave them up to protect them in a war going on. time goes by, parents never saw again so the merchant eventually dumped them at a taver nso he wouldnt feed them. they stayed in stable and do menial labor to point they looked filthy. one day the couple visited the tavern while traveling and saw the state they were in and took pity on them. they gave them a home, taught them to read/write and speak to point gnomish is their fluent language then common which you will hear later on. note that this is in japanese dub, idk how english dub will go. interesting but mildly sad is there was a festival the twins attended celebrating gnome culture. gnome children wears those classic coats and pointed hats you see on lawn gnomes. so when kiki and kaka wore same thing and joined the other gnome kids looked at them and say stuff like why grown ups are here, they look weird and so on. when they went back home i think kaka went to his bed and cried and later the couple came in asking kiki what on earth happened. another i forgot to mention about namari, she got a thing for tallfolk mainly how long/slender their legs are. its also hinted she got a thing for kiki and kaka in the side stuff. forgot who ask her but they asked if she got same feelings for laios and his sister, her asnwer is no do to how weird they are especially laios. in other side chaps when brought up about a thigh pack to carry knives, vials and such in kiki ask namari if want to see it and namari blushes and excuse herself.

Enter Namari, temporarily at least. Our Weapon-admiring Barbarian build gets to be the first to demonstrate resurrection as she's thrown to the wolves...well, Undine. Death can still happen in the dungeon, remember there are ghosts around, sometimes the body can be damaged beyond healing, thus why Laios wants to save her before she's digested.

Ah so we’ve gotten to the villain of final season, Kuvira. Or as I like to call her, Lady Megatron. Believe it or not, she and the leader of the Decepticons have more in common than you’d expect (and notice even more as the season goes on). The main one being their philosophy of “Peace through Tyranny!” Granted, she pales in comparison to Zaheer and the Red Lotus from the last season, but Kuvira’s personally my second favorite villain from the Legend of Korra. Fun fact: She’s voiced by Zelda Williams, the late great Robin Williams’s daughter.

Nice to see you back again. Book 4 is great!

I think you absolutely nailed it with your review. Who cares what the film was originally going to be, all films change as they develop, the original Alien film was going to be set in a space monastery for gods sake. It is still an individually entertaining film with a lot of merit. The whole getting in a bunch of British character actors was pretty inspired, and a great change of vibe after Aliens. It stands strong in the original trio, and is way better than all that engineer, black goo heresy .

i watch this series in japanese with undertitles, you dont really miss anything from the dialogue but the voice acting ads so much flavour compared to the english voices, but i guess in english its better to react to.

Parasite is a must-watch. There’s a case to be made that it’s the best movie of the last decade. An era-defining movie. Also one of the best best-picture winners ever. Go in knowing as little as posssible.

Parasite and Memories of Murder are great, but my recommendation is The Host from 2006.
