I think Ryner loves Ferris too.. cause when Sion and Ryner fight Ryner admitted to Sion that he doesn't want to leave Ferris because he knows she'll be lonely.. some said Ryner likes Kieffer, but I do think he likes her as a friend.. Well unless the authors pick it up again but highly doubtful usually those works that aren't mainstream don't get enough popularity :/. Care to explain where you hear this. So far the Light Novels are still on-going. The Author is very much alive. Unless you are confusing this with Kaze no Stigma then yes That series author die a very long time ago.
