This is a love story between the mad hero and the lonely devil... two cursed souls bound to each other... like what Ryner said, he doesn't know what bonds keep him attached to the world... but they are bonds nevertheless... and remember, he wanted a world where he Sion no longer needed to brood, where people can take long afternoon naps... It's kinda romantic.

It's not a love story their relationship is more complicated than that, They are bound yet the demon's sacrifice benefitted him not just the hero besides the hero is also bound to another soul.
