In D&D, druids can shapechange into animals and at higher levels, into elemental creatures.

Only Moon Druids can be elementals, an ability they get at tenth level. And "Rules as Written", she shouldn't be able to at this point. She is the right class and level, but she only has two uses, and used one Wildshape to get there as an eagle, and it takes two uses simultaneously to become an elemental. But hey, it made for a good show.

In the campaign she summoned a fire elemental rather than shape changed into one, but it was way cooler in the show this way. People need to remember the rules of the game are to put limitations on the players to make it challenging, they don't need to be adhered to strictly in an adaptation.

Regarding the Vax - Keyleth "will they, won't they" romance, the cast was extremely not ready for such a thing to develop. Marisha (Keyleth), who was already playing a shy and introverted character, had to also deal with the non Vax cast making things really awkward while they were trying to RP it out. Thankfully future romances didn't have this problem. Good thing Liam (Vax) is such a good theatre actor and didn't back down!
