They really be keeping campaign fans on their feet as well. Pretty much everything that happened with Anna Ripley assisting the dragons(or at least one of em), Kamaljiori, Umbrysal, Mythcarver being taken, and the group being separated did NOT happen in the campaign. Im lovin where it's all going though ngl.

Generally I’d consider it a good idea. A D&D campaign will never translate perfectly to an official story considering how much of it can be random.

I realized when Matt said it in their interview, how didferent a player's motivations are from the audinece's. Getting to the next powerup would get old fast on the silver screen.

and its a good decision too, umbrysal wasnt really all that hyped up in the stream they just kind of found him and killed him here now its fucking personal, and ripley being more involved in the story also makes sence since in the stream she just sort of reapeared from nowhere

@@warrust That is one of my favorite parts is the "behind the curtain" stuff that we now get to see. In the Briarwood arc they really took advantage of it. I am glad to see them do more.

If you go back and watch the meeting with Osysa in episode 2, she says the the group that it PAINS her to be apart from her mate. So they completely told us what would happen.

Grog wasn't that close really. The dragon can take a beating and it wasn't really trying to fight. Had it decided that it NEEDS to kill Grog first before leaving, it would have done so with ease via acid breath.

Nah he clearly called Grog to a 1v1 it was a duel. He used others options to surprise him and it's not like he had a clear shot to use acid breath at anytime.

The dragon did use acid breath. There is a frame when the acid is shown coming near Grog and he dodge and went closer. Grog was doing great.

I watched whole campaign 1 twice (didn’t even skipped announcements) what I am doing with my life? Anyway, love to see difference in story between anime and campaign. It makes anime more uncertain and fun to watch. They did really amazing job!

Yes! I love that certain lines of dialogue are brought over directly from the campaign, but then they switch up the story on us just enough to keep it fresh.

A: Trinket is already in the locket B: Zarah couldn't even get the legally distinct "beholder" back into the brooch; an Ancient Dragon is a lot more powerful than that, so it wouldn't have succeeded anyway.

As far as I remember the target must be willing or roll a check. And I bet the dragon would, even if it looses the check, use legendary resistance.
