@@towacca3548 the one thing he had up on the dragon was immunity to non-magical weapon damage, which a dragon can't overcome, but most of the damage was done via acid, so I have no issue with the fight as a whole

Regarding the CG designs: they confirmed in a recent livestream Q&A that the animators rotoscoped shadows and highlights over the CG elements. So even though the dragons, sphinxes, etc. are CG, the lighting matches with the 2D art, which is probably why it feels more cohesive.

on the casts watch alongs they mentioned for the show they had to keep writing in ways to splait the party for story telling. in the game they don't split the party and people can stand back while story moments happen but that is difficut to do in an animated show. so they keep getting split into smaller groups

Another great reaction video! I'm so proud of Scanlan in this one! I really feel like he's coming into himself more this season. Last season, we got full-blast Scanlan where he was just trying too hard, and now he's taking moments to step back, consider alternatives, and being more careful in how he interacts with others. Looooove me some character growth! I've followed along with C1, so I'm excited to see how they continue his development in animated form!

This was an interesting episode that had some major divergence from the original campaign. First off, there was no Umbrasyl attack on Kamaljiori, and his test was completely different. In the original campaign, the test was to find his name by going to different elemental portals while fighting him. Grog goes through one with no tether to get back (I think it was the air plane) and to get back he throws the sword into the portal to try and get an anchor point. Unfortunately, the anchor ends up being Pike. I like how they've done it here, though. Gives more weight to Grog's wounding of Pike and will be relevant later. Also, I guess to help with a logical good break of the season, they switched up the order of the Vestiges that they are going for. Originally they went for the gauntlets first, then went to the Feywild. Its an interesting take, and I'm VERY intrigued to see what all they do.

Your reaction to skipping the myth was the same as mine. NOOO GIVE lore! (Also, it hurts my soul that it was the BARD that said "skip the myth".) The Mythcarver is a rapier, rather than a sword-sword, which is more in line with a Bard, especially one that embraces a swashbuckling style. It fits the class, but you're right, it's not Scanlan's style.
