Small moment from the campagn: when Percy gifts Vex an arrow as an apology for her death, he calls it "a thing to break doors and walls". Vex/Laura adds: "And hearts?" I wonder if Vex stabbing Saundor in his heart is a reference to this.

Keyleth's moment of instakilling the two treants was such a badass moment in the campaign as well. C1E63, if you are interested. And it was an extremely smart player move, that caught the DM by surprise. Combining a character ability and a spell in such a destructive way. Tree Stride spell (different, and lower level spell than her Transport via Plants) allows you to enter a tree, and then move to inside another tree with minimal movement. And her Moon Druid ability to take elemental forms just synergized with this so hard, since if a fire elemental occupies the same space as that means a LOT of damage. Add to this some fire vulnerability, and the tiny fact that while she's inside the tree she cannot be targeted for attack, and yeah... This depiction in the animation was a pitch perfect representation of what happened.

It just clicked! I didn't know Sendhil played a villain in the Flash but Taliesin (Percy's VA) plays the flash in several games and animated series so I'm sure he/the CR cast is fans of the live action show. They must have put 2 and 2 together and realized he'd be perfect for Saundor and God damn they hit ANOTHER homer!!

I think what she did in C1 is used the passive ability of fire elementals where it can pass through the space of other creatures (due to being intangible) and set them on fire

Its not very important but Saundor's backstory was the he was a joyful prince who was betrayed by his lover. This broke his heart. But instead of moving on, his sadness and despair was all consuming and he cannot let go. He wants a companion to join him in his pity party. You know that one toxic friend who wants to trauma dump on you and vice versa so that you both can feel validated in your sadness

I really REALLY like what they did here. The way Vex longs for the approval and love of her father despite his toxicity, she gets attracted and falls and the same trap with another toxic "person" but is able to step out of that because she is shown and "gifted" love. Really simple, really well executed.

They aren't officially together at this point in the campaign either. But Taliesin who plays Percy has said that Percy fell in love with her during the "do I look like I come from money?" ( Or have they changed the question into "do I look like I'm nobility?" I'm the show.) ... That was THE moment for Percy. I think it's bc Vex showed a hint of vulnerability with Percy that she had NEVER shown previously. And so I think the fact that Vex was able to get that vulnerable when having a little side conversation with Percy... may have solidified the fact that Taliesin wanted Percy to absolutely pursue a romance with Vex.

No this is how it happened. Percy had three of four noble titles vacant in Whitestone the original owners had been murdered by the Briarwoods and the people the Briatwoods gave them to were all killed by Vox Machina. Anyway so Percy decided to bestow one of them on Vex.

I really loved the juxtoposition of the family dynamics between the twins and Syldor, and Pike, Grog, and Pop-Pop. Like one is so wholesome and loving and the other is stiff and cold. Guess it just goes to show, like you said, it doesn't matter what your upbringing is; your value comes in the type of person you choose to be. I just love that so much.
