I feel like the kid from the Princess Bride yelling at his grandpa "JEEZ, YOU'RE TELLING THE STORY WRONG! THAT CAN'T BE WHAT HAPPENS!"

I doubt this is the last we’ll see of Percy. Call it an educated prediction.

There are such big changes being made, but I'm still finding them very satisfying as storytelling even if they're breaking my heart harder than the original campaign or at least in very different places and somewhat new ways.

Same brother! So much new stuff and things reorganized into different things but mostly they seem better in a way.

It feels hey have gone to great lengths to smooth out Percy's rougher edges and make him less of the "arsehole" that Vax described him as here (and Taliesin himself called the character, but then Tal really loves playing terrible people), and this episode it really pays off. The changes form the campaign are interesting, if curious. We still don't know what's going on with Pike - if she'd hadn't been on the outs (in her mind at the very least) wth the Everlight, could she have tried the revival rite from last season? (spoilers to follow) .. . . . campaign spoilers , . . .. In the campaign, we know Percy was brought back, although Pike wasn't there due to Ashley's Blindspotting, and they had to get him back to Whitestone. It feels like this will still happen - the lore that follows, weddings, children, I don't think they would change that. The change in making Vax and Keyleth a more traditional Will They/Won't They for this adaptation makes some sense, but has been frustrating. That Percy and Vex became teammates with benefits here, before "I should have told you, it's yours" was a strong move too. It does make it harder on Vex, as does Percy expressing his love in ways I don't think he ever really did in the campaign.

Spoiler alert/ theory : it could be just my wishful thinking but... ...I think they will use the reveal of the information that Percy's soul is in Orthax's hands as a reason/motive for them to try and bring him back at some point. Probably will happen before the season finale.

@@sofia.foula.sofoula Ripley's pew pew did light up when Percy died, and she did say Orthax was getting the souls slain by those weapons. I'm sensing an epi this season or a S4 arc, either way, love the changes from the live play.
