Based on this review, I don't think you saw episodes 10-12 of series 3. There is more story after Thordak's body is taken away.

I really enjoyed season 3 and the series overall even though I’ve never been involved with D&D. Even the side relationship dynamics are highly interesting such as Vex and her father, Scanlan and his daughter, Keyleth and Raishan. Being invested in these characters it was very sad at the end but great to hear that Percy could return.

On their table game. Among the many things Matt Mercer is great at. He does a really good job of making all the players feel involved. While moments may focus on one or two individuals. He will always find some way to “cut” to others and keep everyone invested in the game. I think that skill translates well to the pacing of the show and the focus between the characters. If you’re at all interested in watching their table game. I recommend starting with the Mighty Nein their second campaign. It is also being turned into an animated show for Amazon.
