3:55 Agreed. It's why I've never been keen on some of the earlier Zelda games, since the dungeons just having you walking around, exploring rooms and fighting enemies. I do however, differ about A Link Between Worlds. I like that finding your way through Koholint is in itself a puzzle, rather than the game just opening all the gates and telling me to go crazy. At least here the dungeons can afford to get more challenging as a result of that linearity.

@@blober5533 I'm not saying it wasn't a nice and well-written review. But that's hardly ever the problem with IGN reviews. Honestly, watch damn near ANY review and you'll see that they all sound flowery and intelligent... the opinions themselves are why IGN draws ire from the gaming community. Typically the problem is that IGN can be out-of-touch with their critiques... not that it's poorly written. And I'm not even saying the game doesn't deserve the praise he gave it, I'm just saying that the same people calling his words "poetic" and "eloquent" would express an entirely different opinion had he not liked the game.

Since Links Awakening was my first Zelda game I REALLY want to get this one. But, a part of me thinks that 60 is a little steep. I'm conflicted.

Fantastic review. Informed reviewer with lovely diction (and actual love for games) soothingly serenades us into wanting to purchase this piece.

I normally actively avoid IGN reviews, though this seemed to be one of the first posted, so I gave it a shot, excellent job. Reminds me of the old days of video game reviews. Almost Adam sessler esque.

Never played the original but the remake is amazing.

I feel like this is a perfect remake, one that appeals to both purists and modernists alike. I was truly stunned by the presentation (visual and auditory) and overall attention to detail when I started playing yesterday. And it's just so much smoother of an experience than the Gameboy original.

This is the best IGN review I've seen in a long time. This guy is great.

Echoing the sentiment that this guy needs to be at the forefront of your video reviews. Articulate, thoughtful and soothing. A clear step above your other content.

I was expecting a little review of the soundtrack and my all time favorite Marin's song.
