I just found appreciation for this game. I’m 22 so I wasn’t around when it came out, but I have my dads old nes and games and I recently beat the first quest. Definitely a great game, I enjoy it a lot. As a kid I didn’t know any of the secrets and the only level I could find was the first one, so I didn’t really enjoy it much back then.
@drummerman6488 Жыл бұрын
@@Rumblefan Had a similar experience as a kid. I was only vaguely familiar with the Zelda games because of Smash so I bought this game on the Wii virtual console and played maybe an hour of it and gave up. I recently beat it with the help of the guide on Zelda Dungeon and was kinda disapointed when I saw they didnt have one for the 2nd Quest.

I just wanna say how sweet it is, seeing the video creator’s dad responding to comments to this day. I didn’t think I’d get this emotional when I was just trying to find a Zelda guide, haha. It took quite a bit of effort, but I did beat it, which included getting every item, every bomb and every heart container....and I recall needing basically all of it! Great game! Legendary!! Nah. I had this game since it was new (Even had the gold plated cartridge of it). I did study and practice with a guide I found online to help to figure out where all the hidden goodies were though. For only 50$ you get Zelda 1, Zelda 2 and Links Awakening for GameBoy all on one handheld console the size of a credit card. Amazing! For the last 2 weeks I’ve been playing Zelda everywhere I go..
@netsendjoe3 жыл бұрын
Can't help but wonder why and how they had enough time to put in a second quest before release date, seeing as how people most would only play the first quest. Guess it just had to deal with Nintendo making NES games insanely hard to beat. "So you needed maps and a Game Genie to get through the first quest, well FU.." Got to say that I was impressed that all the dungeon maps literally fit together like an origami into the mapspace, but makes sense from a programmers standpoint. I also miss how the NES would always slow down when too many enemies were in a room.

This is definitely one of the best games of all time, if not the best. I just beat the first and second quest. It took me about two weeks, if that. On my spare time. The only thing that sucks is that I have to keep my Nintendo Switch on pause the whole time to keep my progress. I also went to level 7 when I shouldn’t have during the 2nd quest and got stuck because I didn’t have the stepladder and couldn’t get across to the door and didn’t have any weapons to kill the red knight to open the other door so I could go back. Needless to say I had to turn it off and go at it again from the start. I was heading to level 5 when this happened and came across level 7 and got screwed lol. Anyways, this game brings back memories, Joy, and nostalgia from 1986 when I was just 5 years old. It sucks after you beat it because now I have nothing to look forward to. 😩😢😂

***** Aaaand then there are the little kids who don't read the manual and skip the intro. One guy called Samus "Metroid" when he was little. Compliant with Finagle's Law, these are the same people who would have the most trouble with second quest.
@Ruuuv8 жыл бұрын
My theory is that most kids thought his name was Zelda because the title has a big ZELDA all over the title and the box and so on.. Although me and my gaming friends when I was 7-8 years old laughed at others thinking the guy was named Zelda, that also being a girls name (except that we knew the story). Thank you for replying. I intended for the hearts represent the starting life bar in LoZ. I hope he wouldn't have been embarrassed, but I suppose I didn't clarify. 😅 I continue to enjoy Jeremy's gameplay videos, and I thank him for his passion and desire to share. Thank you, too. 🙂

@@CollateralTechMisc I suppose he would have understood what you intended. However I like my interpretation. Jeremy was so shy, he said he liked girls, but he never knew how to talk to them. So as a dad I like the idea that there was some "romantic" flavor, even though I understand that was not your intention. He would have been such a good loving guy if he had ever found a girl, but he never did. I hope this doesn't sound too goofy. Jeremy's dad

@@SaikyoMog Hey, no worries. I get it. No offense intended or assumed. It's all good. 🙂 I had similar challenges as a lad. Sometimes I wonder if I ever learned how to talk to women. 😂 I truly appreciate being able to tell you how much your son's gaming means to me. He's a special person and I'm happy he shared so much of his interests with us. ☮

@@CollateralTechMisc Thanks. I realized after I sent the last email that "OMG, I don't know for sure that this is a girl." Obviously I was mistaken. Thanks for understanding. I am still laughing at myself. Jeremy's dad (I am sure I am a guy)
