I LOVE Zelda games. All of them that I've played. The story, the characters, the consistent game play mediums...but for some reason, they make me feel so sad and lonely, ESPECIALLY this game. I don't know why. Like...Link never gets anything, no love, no real friends, no home, no family. Just...wanders around and struggles for people - in such terrible conditions. It's so sad to me. There's just something so ...mysterious about these games to me, but they make me feel depressed and nostalgic.

Lmao had to stop in and say hi to Error! 15:57 I love that he knew to include that. Man, I hated this game as a kid though. Never finished it; not because it was hard (it was), but lack of interest. I was so disappointed that they changed the gameplay from Legend of Zelda I just couldn’t get into it. Years later I hooked up the NES and gave it another chance. Nope. Only reminded me how much I hated it. I don’t ever want to play it again, but it was fun to watch him go through and absolutely DESTROY it! Disappointed I just found this channel now, but I’m definitely going to go through it and catch up. RIP Jeremy, thanks for the nostalgia

SaikyoMog And thank *you* for letting us know about your son. I would have otherwise assumed it was just another abandoned KZbin channel, wouldn’t have thought anything else about it. The tribute videos you and your daughter-in-law put together were incredibly moving. I’m not embarrassed to say I got pretty choked up watching them; he seemed like a really great guy. I’m glad I did watch them first, because it made watching the playthrough that much more meaningful, as strange as it might sound. Just knowing those were all his moves, now immortalized, as if he’s still playing. My sincere condolences on your loss, sir. Thanks for keeping the channel going, and I hope you find some solace in knowing that the videos he created are still providing joy to people like me.

@@kway745 If the videos about Jeremy moved you, then you must have a good heart. Jeremy's only fear was of being forgotten, so comments such as your really are a comfort to me. I kept the channel going as best I could as a way for him to be remembered. I miss him every day, so hearing that people are still finding and enjoying his videos helps. Thank you again, Jeremy's dad

I'm glad this game starts you back at Hyrule when you get a game over. Know why? Cause people would bitch that they might have missed something on the way to the dungeon. Plus it makes you be a better player and cherish your life! I love this game because it requires skill and most gamers have very little.

mopbrothers Preach!! I’m getting very tired of hearing gamers raised on very sophisticated game systems complain that old school, 2-D 8- & 16-bit games are “boring” or “too hard” or have “bad gameplay”. BS. If you can’t get through something you keep trying until you get it.

Its hated only because it was more like a Plataformer and RPG. More games werw inspired by this game than the original Zelda. Battle of Olympus, Rambo, River City Ransom, and some spin-offs of Final Fantasy were clearly inspired by this game. Its actually the best 8-bit Zelda and one of the best Zeldas with Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, and Link to the Past.

I finally finished watching you play through, I had to split it up over 2 day. Great gaming video. I learned 2 things: 1) This game is long 2) I never want to play it ever again. Its too much work. Also you missed 2 more P Bags. The first one at 1:42:48. Then the 2nd twice: 1:43:49 then again at 1:46:25.

I was born in '91 and my first Zelda experience was Ocarina of Time. I've since played and beaten all of the Zelda games made since then. A few years ago I got the gamecube special Zelda disk and played Zelda 1 and Zelda 2. Zelda 1 was hard as hell, but I beat it and enjoyed it. Then I tried to tackle Zelda 2......... And couldn't get past the 2nd dungeon... That game is too dang hard... I was patient with it for a few weeks and then threw my hands up in frustration and gave up. I must have died atleast 1,000 times in that 2nd dungeon. I have no doubt that I would have eventually beaten it if I had tried, but it got to the point where it wasn't even fun anymore. Zelda 2 went way overboard with the difficulty.......... There's rewarding difficulty that's hard enough to challenge you and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you beat it and then there's bang your head against the wall and yell every cuss word in the book difficulty.... Zelda 2 is that times ten....... The sad thing is it could be a great game if they remade it and toned down the difficulty just a tad and tweaked the upgrade system a bit.

I've used Jeremy's walkthoughs for many years, and it's that time again where I am replaying games for nostalgia reasons. I always seem to get stuck, and Jeremy helps me out each and every time. I've commented before after using his play through videos...but to me it always feels strange using them without at least leaving a few words in the comments. I guess it's my digital form of flowers for him as weird as that sounds. Either way, I hope these videos never get taken down. Most people cant help others from beyond the grave, but he did, and still does!

Great with the positive, now is time to see the negative of this game : -You can so easily lost without any guides and some NPC are useless to talk. At least, this is really nothing compared to Castlevania 2 : Simon's Quest. -When you get a game over, (Lost all your lives.) you lost not only your exp points, but you return right in the beginning point instead to spawn in the beginning of the Palace. Like you're need to walk all over again the road to return in the palace. (Except of the Great Palace, thanks god.) -The difficulty spike can be so high and he can be so unfair. (Eventually when you go to Death Mountain for find the hammer or the last road before the Great Palace.) In a good word, this game can be so frustrating, but at least is not impossible to beat. Without his defaults, this game was be good because Nintendo did atleast try a another formula with the franchise and it was not bad at all.

Rest in paradise king 👑. I used to love and get so frustrated with this game as a kid. I got stuck on a very early part and never could figure it out. I thought Metroid was intricate and difficult to beat🤷🏽♂️. I don’t have the time, patience, nor focus to even attempt beating this on my Nintendo classic now as an adult. I enjoyed watching this amazing display of skill though... much ❤️ to all.
