This scene reinforced the idea that revali was truly an outstanding warrior. Each of the previous champions had their ability passed down by the original sages. Revali however had no blood connection and was still able to perform an updraft ability on his own.

My take on this is that all rito are able to use the power of wind. The catch is that only those who have dedicated training are able to actually use that power. Those Rito being Tulin, Teba, and Revali.

to be a bit sappy... growing up, my uncle taught me how to play video games. loz was our favorite. he died last year and this is the first loz game ive played without him. when he was dying, we spoke a lot about how he'd always be with me and that he'd live on through memories. seeing this scene, specifically the "take this, its proof that im with you!" brought me to tears. my uncles favorite color was green. im genuinely thinking about getting tulins wind sage symbol and the quote tatted.

Man, the VA for the sage of wind sounds so majestic and powerful. Oh, how cool would it have been to see Ravali gazing upon the magnificence of his people's first Sage of Wind. Although it cannot be denied how formidable and talented a warrior Ravali was in his own right, I would have liked to see him at least slightly in awe of the grandeur of this sage. Truely, he was a powerful Rito of strong character and impressive abilities. I would say, however, that in a way, Ravali's power was greater than the one Tulin was gifted with. Ravali could practically create a tornado anywhere, but it appears Tulin's power can direct a portion of that power in any direction. Either way, I would to see Ravali's reaction to seeing where his innate power came from. Seeing him humbled at least a little would have been a pleasurable sight.

That's because the Rito were first introduced on Dragon roost Island in wind waker. It's Melody is the same in rito village. In both breath of the wild and tears of the Kingdom just slowed down

I like Tulin, I do. But I really wish it was Teba. He was my favorite Champion. He was just the no nonsense “cool” leader character. I got attached especially in AoC. I just don’t know why they gave Tulin the sage powers and not Teba. I wish they kept the consistency. Riju was a leader before and after BOTW and during TOTK while being a champion and a Sage. Why couldn’t Teba get the powers? Makes me wonder if they just wanted a more youth oriented lineup.
