Honestly, it would be Amazing if Nintendo made a series like this for every 3D Zelda game, despite some of the development team probably not being there anymore, I would love to get more backstory on my favorite game series of all time.

Funny how it seems everyone likes "realistic" art styles in Zelda. I personally don't mind Wind Waker's graphics at all and never held them against the game. I also feel Skyward Sword and Zelda U have found a good medium-ground between the two.
@clickycal9 жыл бұрын
+SpotterX4 I like wind waker, but not really skyward sword's style, it just looked weird to me. Zelda U looks like what skyward sword should have been though with having a realistic style in layout, but still also celdshade.

I like both but I think I prefer the more realistic art styles. Well not like super realistic. Twilight Princess's art style still very stylized compared to something like Dragon Age. Funny though, I never had the hate for Wind Waker's art style because it was my first Zelda game. I didn't have any standard for what Zelda should even look like.

Only problem with this HD release is the fact that the realistic graphics they were going for in these interviews simply haven't aged well. IMO instead of upping the resolution they really should have put the time in to put in a new coat of paint, similar to wind waker, and Oot/MM. It still looks great, don't get me wrong. But It's kind of hard justifying a legit reason to purchase this $50 title when the Wii version can be played on the Wii U at a much cheaper cost without a really big jump in graphical quality.

Almost every texture in the game has been redone, not upscaled ">_> I get what you mean if you were talking about them remaking the game like OoT 3D and MM 3D but that just takes way too much work. You forget the main team is still currently working on Zelda U. This HD remaster was outsourced by another team. So there is only so much that can be done in such a short time.

Twilight Princess was everything I wanted in a Zelda game. Grown up link, realistic art style, horse back combat, etc. One thing I don't understand, if you see how crazy grown men had acted towards TP back in the reveal in 2005, why didn't you continue to make more in realistic art style? I'm still getting the new Zelda for Wii u, but come on, enough with the Cartoon graphics.
@maggou909 жыл бұрын
+sameold23 Because Twilight Princess is the most flawed 3D Zelda, at least in my eyes. Even though Skyward Sword did things wrong, it does a lot more right unlike TP. For many people TP felt like a desperate attempt of reinventing Ocarina of Time and therefore it felt like a big: been there, done that. There is just nothing about TP that stands out or hasn't been done better in a different Zelda game. It was a game fans asked for, but fans always ask for things they already know. Just listen to the "we wanted to deliver" talk in the beginning. They never wanted to make this game, but the reactions basically forced them to do it thus resulting in a game which never came from heart and therefore lacks in many ways. I guess that's why.
@coolertuep9 жыл бұрын
+sameold23 i like cartoony zelda more, there are already enough realistic looking games. zelda could graphically never compete against something like witcher 3, so cartoony artstyle is alright

I think as consumers, we tend to underestimate how much effort and stress goes into making games such as these. Kyogoku mentions it. They take time out of their own personal lives, working overtime and under short time constraints to make the game as great as they can make it. I have to give props to that. The "tohoho" part that Aonuma mentioned was funny too. That sounds like computer science in a nutshell. You program, then find errors, then debug, then find more errors, then debug, and repeat a bunch of times.

This was a really wonderful peak into the development process of creating Twilight Princess! Usually 'behind the scenes' footage shows us how absolutely great everything was and how well everything went, while that wasn't the actual case! In the interview people spoke openly about the more difficult aspects that were present during the process of creating the game. Little to no time, expectations that had to be met, different opinions on keyfeatures, yet at the end the team at Kyoto created the single most atmospheric and most memorable Legend of Zelda game as of this day!!

It's so cool how Eiji is inspired by our wonderful feedback of The Legend of Zelda series. Unlike any other developer, they're the ones who listens to praises and criticisms, and approves upon the other previous Zelda titles. Most developers don't do that because they assume what we want out in the market, and that's not good. I guess you could say that the team behind Zelda are like indie devs, who listens to what fans want instead of beating their own drum.
