You have the ultimate intake manifold already for a high torque build. You just need the correct ported heads, and correct carburetor. Which will be a vac secondary Holley too. Duel plane manifold needs more CFM because each side of the intake draws from only two barrels of the carb. That’s how you get the low end torque for street engines

Howdy Dylan. Joe here from Binghamton NY and a recent subscriber to your cool channel. You truly knocked it out of the park with this video. Your Grandmother's Hot Box Vette is beyond amazing and your video really does this car justice. I especially loved the interview with your Grandmother and that beautiful sunset drive! BTW the S24 Ultra footage looks great - I watched this on a new 65in OLED. I've been rocking a S24 Ultra myself for a few months now and am glad I made the upgrade.

Build a 383 SBC With the right heads and cam. Then you can use your stock converter and gears. Use your air gap manifold The right boosters in the carb. Because of no heat crossover with the air gap manifold. The hood is beautiful. Don’t cut or change the hood Make it all tuck under the hood you have now:)

This is great advice! The car would definitely be alot more fun with a bit more horsepower

David Vizard and Andy Wood built a 400 SBC That has 500hp on pump gas. With a mild small roller cam. 500 tq - 500hp With cast iron heads Use cast iron heads too, because they make more known end torque. (Thermal Efficiency)

@Johnnycdrums I'm definitely a ford guy as well but it's a great car. As for the sound system I'm not 100% sure. Could just be some loose connections but it's on our list of things to fix
@ElvinLeadfoot4 ай бұрын
Leave the engine alone too. Drive her like she is now. Note - study David Vizard on proper cam grind selection. You can build a mild cam 400ft pound torque 5.7 that’s economical and street drivable … Proper head posting technique and can selection. Cause you want to be able to use the stock torque converter.

Don't go chopping that up mate, it has just enough done to it. Lot's of others have done the modernisation thing but that's quite original, and it's family. Get another to do the mods on. From an Australian view point.

@@Highrollers_Roads_N_Rails ; If you have to change the engine, I think it deserves something light and racy. Not some low RPM big block truck motor.

Thats why we were thinking LS but the big block idea was so we could go for a pro street style look and have the blower coming out of the hood. Still undecided @Johnnycdrums
