At the end of Y6, after reading Kiryu’s will and had to come to the fact that they won’t see Kiryu anymore, Majima was the most torn. I would imagine he got depressed (on the levels of Y0) and went into a state of denial that Kiryu was dead. He probably couldn’t bring himself to believe that as reality. Thankfully he still had Saejima to keep him sane, but still.

Ichiban would have been in jail when yakuza 1-6. So its normal he doesn't know Majima That well . Also Kiryu went to jail and didn't come out until 2005. When Ichiban was active Kiryu would have been in jail. Yakuza 6 takes place in 2016 and Yakuza 7 takes place in 2019. That explains how Ichiban knows about them but never has met them

It would've been kind of interesting if Ichiban met Kiryu in jail, they served 2001 to 05 at the same time. Though I think Japan has rules about splitting up yakuza gangs in prison so they can't coordinate.

Given the times in previous Yakuza games where politicians were involved it hardly ends well for the Yakuza. It in a way reflects modern Yakuza IRL where the Yakuza seems to be slowly in decline with them having to use established businesses as a front rather than their usual methods of old as well as becoming hired pawns for politicians rather than being their own independent organisation. So it makes sense for Daigo and Watase to be aware that their time is up and choose to disband. Smart on Daigo to have Arakawa play traitor otherwise we'd get another scheming snake in the Tojo like before. Awesome on Watase to get Kiryu as extra muscle to help disband both organisations. It's kinda of sad for the Tojo and Omi as we've been with them for many games only for them to end. This is truly the end of an era given we are now with a new protagonist.

now you see why we told you to make sure to level up :D this was such an amazing moment! i think personally i was about level 45 and it sure was a struggle, but man that music kept me going. I was just so happy to see majima and saejima having fun together even tho it was against us lmao I finally platinumed the game the other day (130 hours...) and all I can say about the bleeding is to just ignore it. Make sure to use mass heal whenever u feel necessary and let the bleeding take a bit of the health every round as it does, it never takes too much anyways. Alternatively ichi (i think) has a skill that fixes all physical (?) status affects of him and his team. You can also get health items that fixes all physical, all mental or all phsyical AND mental status affects at once, theyre not cheap but theyre super worth it to have \o oh, also first aid kids, especially the expensive ones from the sotenbori pharmacy, are good to have

@@AGirlAndAGame Also if you use skill attack but someone stands in your way like for example Saejima did don't worry about being disrupted. It only happens with standard attacks. There is one powerful skill attack for Ichi that you can unlock by completing business minigame, it costs a lot MP but it's worth it, I used it 2-3 times a row on Majima's clones and that saved my ass, very helpful skill I'd say.

@@THENAMEISQUICKMAN The penalty for dying in Dragon Quest is much more severe than this game. It will bring you back from the last save point instead of just retry the battle. There's no save point in the dungeon so you have to redo all over again. Your Gold will reduce to half and in worst case scenario is when you need to use whatever Gold you have left to bring back the dead party members. That's why in Dragon Quest, you always need to save up your Gold in the bank so that you don't lose them in case if you're dead. The penalty for this game is nothing compared to Dragon Quest since you can easily grind for money.

Man this chapter was intense! Sneaking into Omi HQ. Us players reuniting with THE Mad Dog, Goro Majima, and THE Taiga Saejima, then getting into a boss battle with them and listening to Majima's Recieve You OST in Y7 form. Meeting Arakawa and Daigo Dojima again. Meeting Watase again was a nice bonus as well, and then they dissolve both Omi and Tojo clan, then the big fight in Omi HQ happens. And seeing THE Dragon of Dojima, Kazuma Kiryu! Along with his Recieve You from Y1 playing as well, and seeing Majima genuine happy that he's alive..... And then Arakawa gets killed, a kick to the dick at that part. This chapter brought a lot of good and sad to it, best chapter overall, and great gameplay ever! Keep it up Jess!👍

Wow. You were WAY higher level than I was when I did this fight. First tried this at about level 40-41. Got my ass handed to me several times. Ended up beating them after leveling the crew up to about level 45-46. Still took forever and had to retry the fight twice. Saejima hits like a truck.

I like to think that Majima's a wall as he is in the game because of how Ichi and the others are portrayed. We've fought Majima before, but as strong, literal legends such as Kiryu or Saejima. The only reason the group managed to stay alive against these two (other than they were holding back) was because they stayed as a group. Together, Ichi's party is a force to be reckoned with. But you separate them, and you get something akin to a miniboss in the older yakuza games.
