It is finally time to go for Grofzag's leadership boni and to use a whole lot of Crystal Golems. There are no gold mines on this map and lumber has to be exchanged for gold, which puts a damper on spending across the board. On the other hand, you start with a huge army of Gnolls and I waste no time hitting the southern Redfist base. The Redfist attack waves are scary and tower spam will not do much against them. Towers can be ok against Zelech's Fire Golem summons since those come in alone, but I turn my heroes back when actual attack waves come in. Freeing the groups of Harpies adds a lot of weight to any offensive action and then they will go attack the middle attempting to free Gran. The right Redfist stronghold is actually two separate bases close together - the added help of freed Harpies allows me to keep the pressure on. This map and a few more in these last two acts function a lot like Horse and Rider: get some forward momentum and just don't stop. The faster you go, the fewer enemy attack waves there are to deal with, though the ones that do come through cannot be ignored. I tend to send heroes back and/or get as scrappy as I need to clean up attacking enemies so that I get focus primarily on the offensive. The Harpies actually finish this map for me and I completely miss the last group to free in the upper right. This attempt of the map went really well, so I chose not to replay it and we can assume all remaining Harpies are freed after the mission! Crystal Golems are really well rounded, strong units, especially when supported by Gnoll spellcasters. An alterative strategy could be to free all of the Harpies at the same time near the end and then let them destroy the middle fortress in a huge flock. I freed as I went and the result was the same, if not more time efficient because they helped a lot with the right Redfist base and still overwhelmed the middle for me also. Further, Zelech has a Starfall equivalent and if you send every Harpy at him together, he'll kill all of them at once. It is best to bait that out with an early group.

The harpies really do help, when I played first time and pretty much did the same as you as I attacked early and didn't let up while freeing the harpies at the same time, I didn't realize they were winning until I got the victory screen suddenly
