as an european i envy you for your ability to see so many things that i either wrote off as not significant or ignored

You dont have to envy him. In actuality, you can get this ability as well. All you need to do is never stop reading and learning, and knowing how to apply that to your current reality.

@@reeyees50I think what he is getting at is that in the old world there is lots of old stuff including such ruins.. it's background.. people take it for granted

This is great! I wish it was a bit longer! The new entrances at least seem to be in the style of Roman architecture

A short, yet highly informative video which allowed me to know about this Roman fortress' ruins in today's Croatia which I knew nothing of previously. Thank you! ❤

Should really have your own show doc, feels like I'm watching an old history channel clip.

This appears so similar to the fortress remains at Caer-leon Newport Wales

Nothing says your never gonna get rid of those darn peninusulars like their army building ampatheaters in the camps.

The perspective makes it look like you're standing in a tiny little mini amphitheatre 😂.

Why not partially, or even fully, renovate a site, even for use, in the 21st c. as done in any other? Specially if any academic questions are answered. I'd make that same suggestion for Egypt's pyramids.

0:45 Wow, what a heavy restoration. That's just gross.

keep in mind that 50 years ago it would just be some shrubbery on some bumps in the landscape, barely recognizable... so in these cases where almost nothing is left, I don;t mind when modern people rebuild some bits, to give the idea how it once was. There are other places where conservation of the situation is ore important. If you are not european, also keep in mind we have thousands of these sites, many very much leveled over through the centuries with barely anything left higher than 50cm and it;s not really useful to always keep them like that. Rebuilding things as close as the original also has it;s value
