What a treat. So glad I stumbled upon this. Beautiful music, and talented, classy Lennon Sisters. And the comedy skit was so funny. Loved it. Brought back good memories❤️

I don't thin the Lennon Sisters got enough credit as singers. While they were on the Welk show it was always about how cute they were. This sequence shows how really good they were. These were some very tight harmonies.
@henryseidel54699 ай бұрын
Indeed you are right. But don't forget how old they were when they started their career, and how long they stayed in business. They always made a pleasant impression, no matter how old they were and what they sang.

They waited a LONG time to break away from Lawrence Welk to do something like this.

Yep, Lawrence would NEVER have allowed this.

Welk wouldn't have allowed it on his own show. This show is from 1973. The Lennon Sisters still appeared on "The Lawrence Welk Show", and would until 1982. And they still do links for the syndicated repeats.

They are lovely and talented. Unfortunately they have lost the Class and Dignity they had when they were young. This performance is the opposite of what I remember them to be. But they are obviously very talented and could have gone in any direction they wanted.

The Lennon Sisters are obviously lip-synching. The "wireless microphones" are just props. The technology wasn't good enough yet, and wouldn't be until about 1980.

I watched the Lennon sisters, perform in Branson for years. They are friends with our family. They would never think of lip sinking. They are remarkably talented. They work endlessly for perfection. They are the best vocal group I have ever heard.
