I was born in 1946. Grew up on this type of music, and loved it. Most of the music played on the radio was popular music. Rock and Roll music came into existance later on. I think the lennon sisters were on this show in the late 50'd, maybe early 60's The music was soothing, relaxing.

They were loved by the over 40 set and the religious right of the 60s. To The rock and roll generation they were a joke considered along with the entire Lawrence welk show as pretty nerdy & uncool at the time. young people made fun of them for being goody two shoes.

I was born in 1965, and I always kid and say I was born ten years to late because I never liked the music of my generation. Give me the early sixties to the mid seventies and I am a very happy girl.
