I bought a PC 35mm F/2.8 Ais for $130 a couple days before Christmas 2017. I had to sell a 28mm F/2.8 Ais but my god was it worth it! Those lenses will never stay in camera stores because people will hold onto them forever because of how amazing they perform and their uniqueness. People are always watching camera stores for one. I was lucky to get mine because apparently it’s only been in the store for 6 hours!

Once you go perspective control, you hardly go back to conventional ones.. :)

I use a Canon 5D III Exactly for their tilt/shift lenses. I primarily do commercial, real estate, and landscape photography, and I love my 24mm, 17mm and 45mm tilt/shift lenses! I am happy to accept Canon's relatively low dynamic range in order to use these lenses. Totally bitchin! You tell 'em Ken! Yes, a tripod is required. Yes, manual focus is required. But you can make any small product or landscape be totally sharp from end to end, and you can damn near see around corners! DO IT IN CAMERA!

Recently bought Nikkor 24 PC f3,5 manual lens.It is a lens which slows you down and the photographer must think about the frame, exposure etc. After downloading raw files there is not much job in the post-production. It saves a lot of time and thanks to a larger circle than a normal lens, it is great for seamless panorama photos, without damaging the file too much by cropping. There is 85 mm micro PC lens which is great for product photography, portraits etc. There is Italian photog. who only uses PC lenses for automotive and fashion. Thanks Ken, have a nice day man :-)

Yes...Thats why I always love my 5x4 and 8x10 cameras because of the Scheimpflug effects that only a tilt/shift lens can achieve.

This kind of lenses are one and only lenses which give us a chance to get closer to view cameras, control perspective in real life, not in Photoshop... and usually they have top optics inside. Who work with architecture and interiors they knows how good this lenses are in work.

I have other 28, and 35mm Nikon lenses, but I always come back to the PCs. I like how sharp and contrasty the images are. I use the PC, both 28mm, and 35mm, as my regular lens, without the shift option.

Hello sir, I like your videos a lot, I find them to be very informative and accurate. I have a question about this tilt shift lenses, I am considering buying one but the ones that I find are 85mm, I think it is too much of a telephoto for real state and architecture, panoramas could be ok depending on the distance to the subject, but for the other 2 things, what lens and focal length do you think is appropriate ?

Not as desirable as using a tilt-shift lens, but using an ultra wide with the camera back held vertical then using only the top half of the frame gets you part way there.

Rise & Fall might be nice for us old-timers, but the lenses rotate, so the movement can also be used left and right. Mine may be rotated to diagonals or anywhere in between, so "rise & fall" is only a partial description
