@@wolfmage1922Who fucking cares? The best person in the world won't stop humanity from destroying ourselves. You are focused on the wrong problem, and you call that "enlightenment". Breathe. Just breathe. Breathing is involuntary. It is automatic. I would understand if you read this and came to the conclusion that I have missed the point. But I get it. I understand. It doesn't matter. You have no idea the terror that waits for us all in the very near future. When it comes we'll call it a force of nature... We'll pretend nothing could have been done. Listened to Alan Watts at 14. Don’t know what it is that made his words resonate at the time. It helped me through my suffering. At 31, his words still soothing and still helping me through my suffering. A lifetime of suffering is bearable derives from his teachings (I’ve since added lessons from Dostoevsky, Kierkegaard, Nitzche, and Bible in the last 17 years). I might even say these lessons make the suffering meaningful.

He simply stated what is, has always been , it's a matter of discovering it within ourselves, that's upto us to what lengths we are prepared to go to do that, it's not an easy path but it's a beautiful and peaceful one, as I've discovered 'aham brahmasi'- I am the universe! It's the eternal truth which our culture teaches us everyday. We & everything around us is impermanent, once you accept this truth everything becomes simplified and clear but to truly accept this is tough. As the Gita says- it's not that I do not own anything, it's that nothing owns me, once we understand this we are everything and at the same time nothing

He was an amazing man. Why is it that he was so wise - yet he became an alcoholic later in life? Was it because he became frustrated that so many didn’t heed his wisdom? It seems just a tragic waste of such a genius. What is others opinion on why he changed so much? Am so grateful that he shared so much invaluable knowledge and learning with us all.

As a musician/songwriter, I interpret "it" as the note you reach as the chords and such finally resolve in a song. I'm sure some of you know what I mean. Don't keep trying to reach "it" or the whole song will be this potential energy not fully realized. Breathe a bit, let more rhythms fill in then sing like the DOVES. Or maybe im high as shit, or both!

We've been always controlled by some kind of force. That's natural. Freedom and protection come from within and are available to anyone who finds their way for that path no matter in what part of the history we come about.
