I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. In KY you have to go to see a therapist at least every 3 months or you lose your meds. You also have to get drug tests to make sure nothing is in your system that shouldn't be. Even if pot becomes legal your doc could pull your meds if they don't think you should be doing it. They are also very tightly controlled and stigmatized. I can't pick up my refills until the day I take my last pill. You can only have 30 days worth of meds in your possession as well. They can prescribe 2 months at a time but you can't pickup the second month until you finish the first month. The stigmatism around the meds are actually harming some people from getting the help they need. When I took my first pill it blew my mind. I was actually able to function like a normal person. A lot of us that got late diagnosed end up getting mad that we weren't medicated sooner because of the insane difference it makes. You go from living in a personal hell to functional. At least until you get used to the meds. Over time you end up finding a balance between functional and nonfunctional and that's what the therapy mainly helps with. Also a lot of the science that people were using for ADHD and Autism was faked and complete BS (Same guy) and it was only within the last 10 years or so that it was caught. It used to be a concrete rule that if you had ADHD you can't also have Autism. Turns out you are very likely to have ADHD if you have Autism. That one guy crippled out progress on this for more than 20 years. The whole ADHD/ADD thing where they rolled back their decisions on ADD were because they were working with the flawed history. Recently there was a FMRI study done and found that 1 in 30 brains were neurodivergent. They also found at least 3 subtypes of neurodivergent brains which in theory will allow them to better target therapy/medications. A good chunk of people who are neurodivergent will never have severe issues. This FMRI route may end up being a huge revelation in diagnosing and treating it. Solid proof early in life to get ahead of things so that the kid wont spend their life falling further and further being their peers. Take this paragraph with a grain of salt. I'm working off memory and this is stuff I dove pretty deep into 1-2 years ago.

As someone who lives just outside of Toronto, I can confirm Rob Ford was actually a Gem. He used to publicly rail on the government for unnecessary spending and corruption. He would've loved your show. The Crack thing is unfortunate but he was his own man which is based.

Drugs are important to get you to a level where you can learn the coping mechanisms and work toward the middle where you are using as little medication as possible and exercising as many coping mechanisms.

But the schools don't want to pay for that and the parents are busy working multiple jobs, so it's easier just to throw some pills at them. When monetizing a voice, it should be weighted based on whoever popularized the voice the most. Yes, other people are allowed to naturally sound like ScarJo, but if they chose that voice actor because of her similarity to an already popular voice, she's entitled her cut.
