The benefits of standing desks are actually from the changing between different seated and standing positions. It's a mitigation to the genuine mid to long term danger of sedentary work environments. You have to move to mitigate. The automatic ones with stored positions are great once set to your heights.

My own personal history with Qualcomm dev kits, goes back to developing wifi gas control valves about 10 years ago. I needed a microcontroller with wifi that was hyper efficient and Qualcomm, at the time, was the best option. The problem was they only talked to about a half dozen customers and had no new customer service lines. Long story - short, I lied and finagled my way into getting a rep who handled college competitions into getting me a dev kit. It was the most half baked, horribly put together dev kit, I have ever used. None of the documentation had been tested and whomever wrote it was going off a spec sheet for an early build that they canned. Thankfully, TI released something that fit my needs, otherwise I would have had to kill that product. I honestly have no idea how anyone could build a product based off of that dev kit.

I have just shy of 30 years of working in the restaurant industry. Can confirm, being on your feet all day is NOT good for your body. Moving and getting some kind of exercise sure, but standing in place is a big fat nope. Most cooks get stuck on a station and dont leave it for 6-12 hours. This also depends on the restaurant, but does include all of your corporate places. But it's okay the robots are coming to fix that. All are reasons I left the industry. Also, Limewire? ew.

Neck exercises are a thing. Basically all you do is go through ranges of motion in all directions/rotations. Maybe add some resistance after awhile. There is some equipment some people might use but most people shouldn't need anything like that. Most people probably shouldn't attempt anything with weight or do extreme variations of neck exercises. If you got a heavy headset you'd probably get used to it without doing any exercises. Sort of like how a person would get used to walking up stairs everyday if their apartment doesn't have an elevator.

Apple fumbled with the Vision Pro. They followed the computer-on-head route rather than going super light-weight and having the computer either be wireless, operate entirely from the iPhone or attach to any PC. If Apple could just get the stick out of their butt and make _that_ it'd be more compelling. Apple could extend an olive branch telling us their headset is for the people, and for PCs. They would earn so much good-will and unit sales rather than yielding that to another player in the PC VR market. _And_ it wouldn't be this heavy-ass bulky ski mask-looking thing; it would be light, thin, sleek, and _capable._ Oh well perhaps for the "Apple VIsion Studio Display" model…
