I've never seen Ms. Winans before or heard her speak about her marriage to Bebe, but what she is saying rings true to me. I'm married to a man in the church that in 20 yrs. of marriage, has NEVER said he was sorry for anything, and he's quiet as a church mouse in the pew, but a yeller at home. There is sometimes great deception in what goes on in and out of the church and home.

Lord knows I love me some Winans, but I believe this woman. I no longer let my love or admiration for a person not allow me to see truth. She is hitting home to familiar things I went through. It doesnt change my views about Bebe, it just proves that even the best church folks are still human.

She doesn't sound deceived to me. She sounds like a brave woman who woke up and got out of her denial. I love Bebe to, but this is a brave woman! We church folk love to smooth over hard situations like this and just say it's the Devil's fault & Jesus will fix it. NO We need to take real responsibility. This is why unsaved people think we are a joke. We turn a blind eye and deaf ear to real issues that are embarrassing and unpleasant. I support her while still loving BeBe.

It cracks me up reading all these posts suggesting Debra & Lexi are trying to ruin BeBe Winans. His own behavior speaks for itself and WILL bring him down if he doesn't confront his demons & do right by the mother of his children. I believe Debra is only freeing her soul by telling her truth which she has every right to do. The problem is many of you all don't want your precious "IMAGE" of your beloved Mr. Winans blemished in any way so, of course, she just has to be lieing.

Praise the Lord for your kind words and frankness about your situation. You are right the world loves the Winans family and sometimes we forget they are human too. I am so proud to know that you choose to get up and take charge of your life. Your children will now become different human beings in Christ because their Mom stood up for righteousness not religious practices. I saw this for the first time yesterday on Larry Reid Live. One thing for sure this is a Classy Lady who has the ability to destroy who wronged her, yet chooses not to. She's a great example of" Leave Them To God" while getting the lesson so the pattern of abuse doesn't continue to happen in one's life.

Silence is not golden! She is a strong and courageous woman, to speak out about spousal abuse in her marriage. I love the Winans, I love BB Winans, his fame doesn't make him perfect, he is human with human emotions. I wasn't going to comment but here it goes. Bad behavior is bad behavior. At some point we have to take responsibility for our actions. The one thing about it is that we as society need to get over celebrity. By that I mean being able to admire, appreciate the gifting, the talent and anointing and keep it in its proper place. Because I have talent, gifting and anointing does not mean I am flawless. My character may need a major construction overhaul, nonetheless. Or maybe just a few tweaks here and there but I am far from issueless weather I am platinum or not. Now I applaud Debra for speaking out as this is part of the healing for herself, their children and Be Be as well. Allowing exposure and ending the fronting is helpful. It is my hope that my friend Be Be is getting the support and working on his challenges. He is still one of my favorite singers and I want nothing but the best for him. I am glad for this interview and quite sorry for the challenges that have occurred in this relationship and family I will continue to hold them in prayer. God is sovereign, but we are not.

Dear, Debra, needs to buy your book. I was just on Mt tab and I ran across you on Lexi Show. Sister Debra every thing you talked about is me. I feel so bad, I allow it to get this far. I was told by people,that I love stay for the sake of the kids, which we have three, and they are grown now. That was a big mistake, I should have never did that, l really hurt my children in the process. Sister Debra, after listen to you story, I know that I can go on. I would just like to comment on behalf of my 'sistrens' that indeed it is unfortunate that the "First" ladies are so under foot and the system doesn't give way for expression and an avenue for their side of life and all that matters to them as opposed to the celebrity of the partner. I love this interview and it really opened me up and I have always believed that it is necessary for the wife to have significant opportunity in the burden and blessings of marriage.

That's true but in a marital situation or any relationship for that matter, one needs to tell the truth....just believing in Jesus without walking the walk of faith that His word tells us is not a panacea for all the ills of life. She did say she saw what wrong she did in the marriage. Marriage to me is not to be taken lightly. You have to go into it with knowledge, unconditional love and low expectations to how it will be....not how you will be treated. She should never be treated abusively....the bible even tells the husband to love their wives like their own bodies. Anyone who loves his body will not abuse it.....so much misinformation and lack of understanding....this is how we get here.

I think that this is being blown way out of proportion. no doubt he should never have put his hands on her... but there are plenty of instances in marriage where men AND WOMEN grab an arm or push - its not right but I'm dissapointed that something so small was made so big if not just for her - for her children... Yep. I think it got out of hand too and that he probably pushed her. They were divorced before either of the two altercations (no abuse-she corrected Lexi when she used that term) occurred. Both of these incidents involved custody issues. They both probably became very heated arguments and both parties acted out. When she said omg, no he didn't when he pushed her to the ground, let's you know she was not abused because that was not expected behavior. I'm not condoning his actions, keep your hands to yourself, but the charges were probably dismissed against BeBe because the judge may have found fault in both of them. Even the most cool and collected person can act a mess in certain situations and I'm referring to them both. As far as their marriage, being married to a celebrity or a pastor can be very challenging. Kudos to those who are. The families are often neglected when it comes to time spent. They take a backseat to those careers/callings. Even when Lexi asked her who she was before she got married, she spoke about her family and who they were but not really who she was. It's probably always been difficult for her to really find her own because of her family dynamic and her marriage to BeBe. Which was made even more complicated because she said she never spoke up about it and the marriage ended in divorce. Praying that their situation has improved and that she has found herself.

Ive been looking at videos and other information about the winans . I love the songs and the family just from what I've seen and read. I love that you're letting people know . How things were in your marriage but I also think that people of God need to realize that, we have to say I am sorry for what I did to you. No matter what you feel/ felt was right. Unfortunately, many Christians are religious; lacking the realization of who they really are in CHRIST. We are to do the WORD and not just hear it or mentally assent to it! Each person is responsible for their personal relationship with GOD! The blame game and finger pointing must STOP! Here's the funniest thing. Lexi is looking at her like "you are a fool sista". Millions of women have gone through that and worse, AND have money. YET, they would NEVER put it out there afterwards. WHY?? What does it accomplish? Then another thing, she's talking about wanting to get married again. Dear, Debra, needs to buy your book. I was just on Mt tab and I ran across you on Lexi Show. Sister Debra every thing you talked about is me. I feel so bad, I allow it to get this far. I was told by people,that I love stay for the sake of the kids, which we have three, and they are grown now.
