Nice review. We just looked at the 2024 today. Your review is very complimentary to what we experienced. Thanks.

Finally a fair review from a journalist who took the time to evaluate this vehicle as it should be. I own this model I can confirm that it is very quiet and comfortable, great for highway driving. One annoyance is the lack of a physical button for changing the drive modes - you need at least two clicks on the touch screen. I use this function a lot because in sports mode you have a more precise steering and a better throttle response - usefull when driving outside of the city. It's not the end of the world but a physical button would have been much better. It handles surprisingly well for a car of this size and weight, in the corners is stable and composed due to the increased wheel base, lowered center of gravity and a more rigid body. I also like the safety tech, the curve speed management and the lane centering, which works great and helps a lot when driving long distances.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for the owner insight! I am really with you on the handling, the rx 350 can really handle a turn, it really is the best of both worlds! Thanks so much and have a great week :) -Jake

Quick note about the noisy engine, especially when it’s cold: it mellows out considerably as the car ages. At about 30 000 km mine is now down to a smoother, quieter growl in pretty much every situation, and it stays smooth even when I push it. When it was brand new I was really worried because it sounded nasally and rough, plus, as you mention, the cvt effect kinda decouples how much it’s working versus how much you’re feeling it. But all of that settles a lot over time. Plus, as the driver, we get used to how it behaves.

FYI there at least 4 different packages available for this car. I chose the premium plus with the technology pkg and 21” wheels

Fantastic review. If my parents are considering a fully loaded Grand Cherokee, i may throw them this curve ball for consideration against the jeep given the price point.

anything above RAV4-Hybrid XLE trim is too pricey. 350h is better👍

Those headlights aren't auto highbeams, they are adaptive highbeams so the highbeams remain I n when traffic is approaching, but it cut out the portion of the highbeams aided at the approaching traffic. (At least in the cars sold in Canada). I thought mine were broken and manually turned off the highbeams as I was expecting auto highbeams to go to low beams when cars approached. It took driving in fog for me to see how the headlights were reacting to confirm how they were working.

Did Lexus let you borrow this car to test drive it? Did they pay you to do this review? Thanks for showing us the car Jake
@GasGuzzlers10 ай бұрын
Hey i123456987654- Lexus let me borrow this car as a press loan. They did not pay for the review nor did they have input on the script and I made sure to return it filled with gas so I paid for that. Thanks for asking it is important auto journalists be held accountable :)
@i12345698765410 ай бұрын
@@GasGuzzlers oh wow, I can’t believe they didn’t pay you…I feel like they should pay you being an auto journalist and all
@MikeWalsh-tz9eqАй бұрын
@@GasGuzzlers I guess if you created a bad review, they wouldn’t lend you cars again, so there is some pressure to give a good review.
@GasGuzzlersАй бұрын
@MikeWalsh-tz9eq not at all! Plenty of auto reviewers give bad reviews of press units. I’ve even shown off parts of press units that broke in our videos. I think brands know it doesn’t look good to cut a journalist off because of a bad review. Also their press reps enjoy constructive criticism, they often pass it back to designers and teams to make better products! I hope you have a great week :) -Jake

why you mad? lol
@JoshuaDarius-bm7nc29 күн бұрын
People like me who have been chewed up and spit out like government monsters targeting my family my entire life, tend to not get mad about things like luxury cars but the people who are guilty on the other hand the people who take advantage of others in the people who squander what they have and find themselves perpetually dysfunctional and constantly coming down with pneumonia for some reason are the ones who tend to get mad. It's funny all the upper middle class are getting sick all the time and all the homeless people have figured out how to keep themselves from freezing to death and dying of pneumonia through experience. There's going to be a very radical class shift in North America very very soon. All the pathetic useless billionaires who can't even figure out how to save a few dollars on brass door hinges for their mansions are going to find every experience from people like me to be a massive education.
