John wrote and sing this great song. now he realized it with his band Yeti.

This song is still fantastic. I can hardly believe I heard it for the first time so many years ago. The thoughts of the era are as fresh as a kick in the golden globe awards. I remember thinking, foolishly and against my normally better judgement, that those days would last forever.

this version of the song is so good !

No it’s John singing , nothing like Pete …….

If you watch any video with John singing backing when Pete leaves...he has a really different voice...But I haven't listened to Yeti so I have no idea what he sounds like properly singing.

They had at least one more classic albums' worth of material that didn't make it on to either album!

@FreewheelinLibertine I am sure it was a John HAssall piece anyway. If you recall the Libertines very first stuff all the way through to the end, there is out of place at any time. Anyway, I just think that and I understand that many like it. It was too Beautiful South to me
@SMARTY6515 жыл бұрын
ha ha sounds like "doubleback alley" by the Rutles! - check it out and see what you think..
@cyyrriil13 жыл бұрын

Because its a comments page, not an "agree with everyone" page. Also I do not just watch stuff because I like it, I may give it another try, and in giving it another try, realise I still think the same. I will then say so on the comments page because the last time I checked, I did not need your fucking approval to voice my opinion. ". I clearly stated this was my opinion, rather than disagree and discuss you rubbish my stance. How sophisticated. I am surprised you didn't call me a "hater" aswell
@akirafelix38657 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean, every fandom is the same, the song isn't good enought to be a "good song" and i like the guitar solo, but is not that good
@naevan113 жыл бұрын
@guyboxerdog Well I disagree. I like it.

are you all kidding me? This is PETE! Just before he started using his high whiny voice, excuse my saying. Love the bloke but he was way better before.

those two songs are great, but would not fit (sound right) on the second album at all.

too true this is a poor version of doubleback alley.... shame that! I always had John as the perfect libertine... turns out hes a poor mans Neil Innes.. still hes got superb cheekbones!
