Thank you for this, I loved it so much! I’ve been a fan of The Libs from the start and they really have provided the soundtrack to my life. Although being a year younger than Pete life has kind of got in the way the last few years but they were always in my playlist. During lockdown I reread Bound Together and it took me straight back to my formative years, came on here to watch a few Libs vids and found this, enjoying it so much I’ve rewatched it 3 or 4 times already, completely rekindled my love of the Band and the desperate struggle to keep Carl and Pete in the same room. Love this, love you guys and anyone else that has bought into the Arcadian dream

@@aranwizard Sans Lindsay Buckingham, its not Fleetwood Mac. The chutzpah of them all, minus the McVee's i suppose, as they're dead, so as a minor concession, in the spirit of letting the departed rest ( the other members) kicking him out of the band that he, had such an instrumental part in making what it was. Mick Fleetwood, or is it Sir Mick as of the present? Stevie Nicks, i guess all of that witch proselytizing isn't just artistic license, ey, Miss Nicks? Please don't hex me Stevie, as you've had your moment's as well, but you and Lindsay did start out together, on that magical journey, rescuing Fleetwood Mac from the wilderness that is the obscure, has been, may have been, that seemed the destiny of Fleetwood Mac post Peter Green's Sid Barret-esque denouncement Emphasis on "was". Writing songs, his distinctive finger picking style of guitar, so masterfully, and truly contributing a great deal to the style, and catalog. As evidenced by his, to many person's thoughts, his landmark, experimental tour de force "Tusk", a work that showed his true vision as an auteur of music, and a production, with him at the helm, that exhibits clearly his gift, and desire to risk success, by having such a radical departure from "Rumours", when you know very well that the studio heads, and likely fellow bandmates, weren't as willing to push the musical envelope, but against all odds he stood his ground, and as its been said, "the proof is in the pudding". Kudos to you, Mr. Lindsay Buckingham, wherever you are! They may have, oh so coldly removed you as a touring member, but their to collective ingratitude, and disloyalty to you, and your person, i say/state for the record, "is to their ever lasting shame!" Last but not least his vision, some might say far-reaching, or pretensious, not that saying as such would trouble Mr. Buckingham because he is a true avant guard artist, extraordinaire. But i digress, his vision, is what transformed Fleetwood Mac into the world wide mega band that they were, but sadly, are no longer, without their captain at the helm. To their disgrace, if i may be so bold.

So poignant: I knew a simple soldier boy Who grinned at life in empty joy, Slept soundly through the lonesome dark, And whistled early with the lark. In winter trenches, cowed and glum, With crumps and lice and lack of rum, He put a bullet through his brain. No one spoke of him again. You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye Who cheer when soldier lads march by, Sneak home and pray you'll never know The hell where youth and laughter go.

That brought back a few memories.......... Too few, sad to say, there should be a lot more but they're lost to blissful oblivion...... One thing that struck me, that can't be denied (I'm not talking out of my arse, in other words!) is Barat/Doherty are up there with the top boys, British song writing partnerships, is what I'm on about. There's been a few + they include some of the very best.......... Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards, Chas 'n' Dave, I could go on........ in fact I will......... Strummer/Jones, Astbury/Duffy......... Hoddle/Waddle......... There are others, but they're keeping pretty good company as it is + they deserve to be, they're in the club, anyone who says otherwise would be responding rectally. Those boys have written some top drawer shanties, you've been told + I suggest you keep quiet.......... Or I'll tell Pete......... It's all gone quiet........ That's what I thought, we're all agreed, then...............
