I’ve almost finished crocheting my first liberty shawl and I’m already planning my next colour! I don’t usually crochet I’m more of a knitter but this pattern was a delight! I didn’t think I’d complete it but your clear concise tutorial made it a breeze. To complicate things I was taught English crocheting but it didn’t even matter. I feel I could now tackle US terms and am planning to extend my work further. Big thank you for your time and effort ❤️❤️❤️

You come up with the most gorgeous patterns and samples to show us...I have hanks of yarn but I am terrible at making them into a ball without them getting all knotted and twisted up 🙈 anyway I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your designs and your channel 🙂 Have a GREAT Day!!!
@BonnieBayCrochet2 жыл бұрын
Have you tried using a ball winder and yarn swift? I know that these tools are an investment, but I love mine and use them a lot! You can always request that the yarn store wind the yarn for you. Many provide that as a courtesy to their customers. Thanks so very much for your kind support!

This shawl is beautiful! I like the simplicity with 4 row repeat, and that you can make it as wide and long as you like. I’m planning to make this with Cotton Kings Color Bomb which I’ve had since 2018 waiting for the right pattern. It will be similar in color to your first shawl. On blocking, I wish you had shown the blocked edging. That’s the only part that leaves me wondering. Perhaps in future videos you could demonstrate how to block Lacey edgings or the body of your a shawl. Thanks! And Blessings🥰
@BonnieBayCrochet2 жыл бұрын
They are quite easy Sheila. Simply dampen then spread the lace the way you want it to dry. Pin in place to mat, being careful to pin the outer points, and let dry completely.

Bonnie, these shawls are beautiful. I have a question for you. Why do you start each row with a ch-4 instead of a ch-3?
@msmikkic97382 жыл бұрын
I know I said I had one question, but I just thought of another. 🙂 On the lace edging, why did you put a picot on the first dc but not on the last of each group of dc w/picots? Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials. ❤
@BonnieBayCrochet2 жыл бұрын
@@msmikkic9738 The chain four is a personal preference and automatic default. I know many prefer the magic circle instead and you are free to do that as well. I don't put a picot in the last dc because it would be bunched together with the connecting point looking more cluttered instead of cleanly visible. Great questions! I so appreciate that MsMikkiC!
