A new original tag from Book Buds! The Library Tag!! Did you know Book Buds films right next to a library? We had to make this tag! Let’s talk about your library habits! We have questions for BOTH those of you that go to the library AND those of you that don’t! Answer the questions that apply to you.
If you DO go to the library… (answer these)
1. How often do you go to the library?
2. Do you belong to more than one library system?
3. What percent of books you read come from the library?
4. Do you listen to audiobooks or get e-books from the library or are you hooked on Audible or Amazon or something else?
5. Did you go to storytime at the library as a kid?
6. Have you ever borrowed a movie or video game from your library?
7. Have you ever gotten fined for returning books late? If so, how do you feel about that?
8. Do you attend special events, groups or book sales at the library?
9. Have you ever given or taken a book from a little free library, a book box or a book swap?

Great tag. I buy compulsively too. I don't use my library often but is a great service. My main reason is the love of the physical book for my collection. I do unhaul and donate a lot as well. Buying books is one of my pleasures but I'm glad the library exists.

Libraries are a godsend! 99% of the books I read are from the library since cost of living has gone through the roof. Enjoyed this tag very much😁

I enjoy my library's monthly in-person book club, even when I dislike the book. Through.the club selections, I have read excellent books that I never would have chosen for myself.

This is a great tag. I made it a goal last year to buy less books and utilize my library more. I now use the library for 80% of my reading. It's fantastic. My whole approach to buying books has really changed in this last year. I now tend to only buy books I know I'll keep, re-read and/or use as a resource (non-fiction books). That's not to say I don't do any impulsive buying. I do, but that number is far lower than what it used to be.

I love you folks, and I loved this tag! I have to go back and look at my expression about video games. I think the last video game I played was Pac-Man when I was 21-another lifetime ago!

I enjoyed this tag. I lived in the library when I was younger, but my town's library is a dud so mainly I use the online service. Still great to have, but I miss the days when I'd go there to read and write all day.

LOL! No storytime for us 60's kids! It was "work all day and walk to school uphill in the snow! - both ways!" Just kidding! There was no storytime, but my family still went to the library once per week and that was marvelous! Best gift my parents ever gave me!

Thanks for sharing Pat. However you enjoy acquiring books is just fine. Donating to library & little free libraries ❤ I very rarely buy physical after emigrating a few years ago and donating all to charity. So going to the library scratches my book buying itch, and libby is so useful.

I love this tag so much! It's weird though...I'm a big library user, but most of what I get are ebooks and audiobooks through Libby, so I don't actually *go* to the library as much as I used to.

@@BookChatWithPat8668 I’m sure you’ll get plenty more opportunities 😄 You can use a timelapse setting on whatever you’re filming on, or you could do little unhaul videos as well, just sitting down and talking about which books you are clearing out and why. I find those just as interesting as haul videos. And of course you do what works for you, but you already know that! 😊

Here in Ireland nearly all book clubs were held in the library but some people had them at home and since covid there’s more people doing get togethers at home I was well known in the library as I went to the book club and most of my books were from there , thing is my husband got ill and between that and covid I started listening to audiobooks and consequently and sadly I read much less Reading a book a month is my limit, you seem to be a truly avid reader, Pat anyway at present I’m reading “The bee sting “by Paul Murray and hopefully I’ll finish it soon , a good read 👍🏻

The bee sting is a well crafted book and the characters are rich , intricate and very interesting but I didn’t find them as vivid as I’d like What you and your viewers might find strange is that there’s no punctuation and in the beginning I found that very difficult but the more I read I just didn’t notice and it didn’t matter, it’s probably because the books so absorbing I do love horror actually I’m listening to “Gerald’s Game “ on audible, I read it in my 40s and loved it ❤
