It is the only live action Disney movie that I think could work, if they said no this is not a kids movie, and followed the books, they could have the next Hobbit/LOTR or Harry Potter on their hands. I loved the animated one, but they definitely held it back from being amazing, which is why it probably flopped, to dark for parents to let kids see it, and nothing to draw in the adult audience.

The movie was really good as a kid, now that i'm older and know more about animation and story telling and all that it kind of stinks how it presents the story, but the art is mostly top teir, the story as a whoal and not presented in the movie works fine, the villain... iconic. Also in this very episode Finn HATES Ice King for causing the main problem. So it was only after he really tried to go out of his way to help and doubled down that he was indeed seeing things they stopped taking him as a serious threat.

It's because this show is so old, it's more amazing if someone _didn't_ watch the show, so it's easier and funnier to assume that he prewatched (even though it's clear that he didn't the majority of the time; inside jokes and running gags at the streamer's expense are Twitch's bread and butter)

IMO the best part about the ice king is when he thought PB was going to be ugly, he was all for it. "i don't want my future wife to be ugly." meaning he was still going to kidnap and marry her even if she was an uggo. but the moment she was childish he was just "i'm out" not even a "well see you in 5 years." just done, clean slate.

I’ll never forget the first time I watched this episode back when I was a kid. It was night, I was 9 at the time and I was already creeped out from the previous episode. So imagine how I felt seeing a possessed Princess Bubblegum light the room on fire, rocking the bed, and melting while saying “JAKE” to a terrified Jake. I ran to the bathroom, having a panic attack out of pure fear, (also monster Bubblegum didn’t help) this forever cemented it as the scariest Adventure Time episode for me…as well as one of my favorite episodes of this show.
