I'm not a WoW or Warcraft player, but the appearance of this weapon has always impressed me. It's a perfect example of an evil fantasy sword. Alicia deserves a medal for the sheer amount of work put into that hilt. The whole thing is an impressive piece of craftsmanship, but, as Tony said, that hilt is the main reason they haven't made this thing before now. Well done all around.

Okay, first a disclaimer: I can give you names from makers that I like. Most of them make knives, the majority makes big knives. They do make swords and axes too. Lore fact, nerds: After defeating Arthas in the Frozen Throne Sylvanas decided to end her life (or her afterlife) so she threw herself from the Frozen Throne. She had no goal to achieve anymore, since Arthas was gone. She ended up in a terrible place; in hell. Valkyir (100% right I'm spelling that wrong - you know the dead angels that used to throw the best DPS from the Throne unless you damaged them) teamed up with Sylvanas and one of them (the most powerful one) took her place in hell instead of her. So Sylvanas is now really a Lich King - she wants to live forever and she has ability to raise dead. Oh, Sylvanas died since her WotLK death once - but this time three valkyir went to take her place in hell. You've just bee Lored.

As much as I love Frostmourne, I'd love to see The Ashbringer from warcraft. Frostmourne is more heavily known today but back in the days of WoW this was THE sword of legend in the game. I made my own version of it out of wood back in school and even gave it the 'hovering' disc part pretty well but I would love too see a proper version of it.

Technically frostmourne was used during the undead campaign during Wc3, and the undead race joined with the Horde in WoW. So it fits.

If part of the scourge broke off to join the horde... wouldn't that mean part of the scourge is part of the horde...? In wc3, it wasn't called Arthas campaign, or Lichking campaign, it was called undead campaign. Guess what, the undead are apart of the horde. There was even a mission were you played as Sylvanas with the scourge units in wc3. Those very same units are the ones who joined the horde in WoW.

First of all, I love these videos.. the making of swords is and always will be interesting to me. (I consider myself an amateur blade collector). I do however have one (and only one) piece of criticism for these videos. Anything with enough weight and force behind it will break a solid object. It is nice to see how cleanly some (if not all) of these blades can cut through a watermelon, but if you swing a heavy sword at any solid object (glass, plaster, etc), the object will break. It's not a display of how well the sword functions, but how much force the person swinging it can give. Again, love the videos, love the creations... keep up the great work! I will always be a fan of true craftsmanship.

Ha, I've actually had the same thought before. It's really nothing special to watch them smash a glass bowl with a sword. The same could be accomplished using a baseball bat. It would be more interesting to see it slice through ballistic gel, cut a piece of paper, or even slice up more fruit lol. I like it when they cut through the watermelons and you can see how clean the slice is demonstrating how sharp the blade is.

I think those portions of the video is more or less showing off. Lets be honest if u had something like that and you didn't care it was a collectible, you probably would subject it to to your wild fantasies (short of maiming something) of swinging a badass looking sword around and break stuff with it. Much like the hosts of Topgear where they frequently are in a position to drive luxury cars and do what car enthusiast would dream is just floor it and see how it feels to go 150+mph in a high-end vehicle. in short it's them just having fun with their collective creation.

When he did Cloud Strife's sword, he said that was the last time he was going to make a huge sword, those are just too difficult to make and heavy to handle(wich is the main purpose of a sword). Also, looking at images of this Nightmare Soul Edge, it seems like a simple huge blade with eyes on it, wouldn't be so good when bought to life :/

Practicability aside, it would just be hard to make. There is all that organic crap on the side which would require mold casting. If the blade was done to scale, that would be like a 6-8 ft mold for each side XD
