"What instrument do you play?" "I usually play with nipple gongs"💀
Nipple gongs are how we say bossed gongs Take that, dirty minded man.

Not funny
@tto05087 ай бұрын
@@Aventra730 ik The etymology is basically how we say "bossed gongs" sumtimes In Southeast Asia, gongs have dimples, while in China, they just don't, and use a sort of just the metallic disc with slight bossing. Chinese gongs have a distinctive "prahhsshhh" sound than those bassy "bongs" bossed gongs make. In Western orchestras, Tam-Tams (an alternative version of gongs) don't have any dimples, it's just a metallic disc. It also makes the same prahhsshhh sound that Chinese gongs make, and it also makes the bassy bongs that Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, and Filipino bossed gongs make.

Such an interesting collection of instruments! Great video. Mozart was fascinated by exotic musical instruments and wrote music for them throughout his lifetime. Like the Clarinet (new at the time), glass harmonica, cymbals and triangle which were uncommon in 18th century music.

The taxi horns sound like the saxophone. The polyblocks and woodblocks sound the same. Keyboard glockenspiel? Isn’t that just a celesta?
@JoePorterPercussion8 ай бұрын
Celesta is different from the keyboard glockenspiel. The keyboard glockenspiel uses harder beaters and is more percussive. The celesta has more notes lower in pitch and is a gentler tone :)
