@@jassmama385 yes they can bro. It breaks down to how sincere you were in your belief, or you were a hypocrite all that time. I saw his video from years back, announcing he had left Islam. One of the reason he pointed out was, that he didn't know that Christianity and Judaism were similar, and it had struck him as being copied from those religions. Look at the level of his knowledge he had while being a "practicing Muslim " for a decade or so. And look at the research he does now. Trying so hard to gain it. He probably goes to sleep thinking how he gonna find flaws in the religion of Islam. His goal in life is destroying Islam. What you can do except feeling sorry and sad for him

The ideas about the pigs is really based on many misconceptions. First of all..pigs naturally dont sweat, thats why they often search for mud puddles to cover and cool their skin. This also removes parasites and it is a behaviour which we see in many other animals..elephants, or chicken (dust bath). The animal itself keeps itself healthy this way. Now since humans domesticated those animals they put them in small cages and this often leads to an unhealthy environment where pigs, chickens etc take their mud bath in the same spot where they eat and defecate... This not only can smell and look very badly it also can be harmful for the animals and the people who eat them. And because pigs are very similar to humans in their body functions, the viruses and bacteria can easily affect humans too..especially if the meat is consumed raw. So pig meat was in history and still is a main meat source worldwide. I think ,especially in the middle east with its warm temperatures, there were surely events which caused heavy food poisoning and diseases after consuming pig meat from sick animals...which lead to these religious rules. But most of the time it was no problem to eat it, and especially today with modern food regulations and controls it is as safe as any other meat. So make a long story short...its not the pig which is "dirty" it is up to us humans to create the right conditions for the pig to stay healthy and for the meat to stay fresh.

Consider the simple example of dogs as companions to old people, children, mentally handicapped people, blind and disabled people. Tons of research shows that how having dogs as companion and pet is very psychologically helpful for humans. Dogs really have been angels for mankind since they started the partnership many tens of thousands of years ago. An arbitrary ruling deprives Muslims of this close relationship.

The daily prayers and fasting in Ramadan are also claimed to provide health benefits yet there is no scientific evidence whatsoever that, on average, Muslim countries, societies or communities are healthier than others. Yet, the daily prayers and fasting in Ramadan are unequivocally compulsory and among the most important things in Islam. They are actually done primarily to appease Allah. How "moral" is that?

Is Islam's morality objective? Nope. And here's why: "We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?" Quran 2.106 One day Thou shalt not kill, next day whoever leaves their religion, kill them. One day God says this is immoral... later on it's still immoral but now it has exceptions where it isn't. Subjective morality 101.

Jesus expkains it when challenged on him saying divorce is not tobe allowed except for illegal unions, on the count that Moses allowed divorce.

@@shohorabahamed3753 Just like others have said, you should indeed heed your own advice and look it up. They actually summarized it way better than me. "The mere fact of abrogation makes clear that a command was not objective in the first place." This alone ends the entire argument of Allah's moral code being objective, and YES, the sole reason this verse got invented (yes, invented, not delivered through an inspiration), was because the skeptics caught Mohammad constantly contradicting himself, and when they rightfully raised an objection against him, he justified it though a "sudden just-in-time revelation". He did this *a lot* even Aisha took a notice of this when she commented how Allah hastens to fulfill his wishes.

As a Christian, the story of how Muhammad negotiated with Allah in heaven over the number of times to pray per day, bringing it down from over 50 times to five times, always baffled me. I know of some rather horrible Muslims in their teens here in Southeast Asia who lead sexually debauched lives but then try to compensate for that by praying six times a day. A student of mine who is secular and does not practise the Buddhism he was born into never understood it too, and actually called it outright hypocrisy.

Its definity not complete according to the historical accounts of Sahih Bukhari in which details the an event that happened after the prophet had died. A piece of paper on which aisha had recorded a divine revelation to the prophet was lost due to it being eaten by a "friendly" billy goat. Nothing further is mentioned regarding the missing revelation except for the account detailing how it was lost. Yet the argument that an entire book was transmitted through oral tradition across 18 or 20 generations of human beings does not miss a beat. In an oral tradition transmitted using a classical language that is very poetic by nature. Interpreting the concepts and meanings expressed in the language requires one to be academically trained in classical arabic in order for it to be accurately translated. The act of a goat eating a revelation right after the Prophet died was as if God himself threw the book on the future claims of it being a complete unchanged record detailing the final revelation.

One of the things that always frustrated me when I was young was the rewards in heaven for believers. it's all lies made up on the spot to please people with whatever they desired at that time and weren't able to acquire. Like the orgasm lasting 27 years, and men given the strength of a 100 man so he can have as much sex as possible, and rivers of alcohol and yogurt..

One of the major flaws in "Abrahamic" religions in particular is that their world view is that both nature and the human world is essentially static and unchanging -that things were created by God not that long a time ago and that everything would remain basically the same -the carpet got snatched away from underneath them when with the commercial, scientific and technological revolutions things became qualitatively different and people began to realize that change and not constancy was the only reality.Darwin's theory of evolution was a major wake up call to religion when it was realized that nature itself is ever changing and developing and never static as it is imagined in Creationist dogma.

While your points on us evolving and living in an ever changing world are salient, where on earth did you get the notion that Abrahamic religions have a static and unchanging worldview. You are confused on this, the Judeo-Christian is far from this if you look at how God works with mankind as he evolves and changes, most specifically as mankind becomes more civil, Islam is static and actually devolves if one looks at what was abrogated. FYI Islam is not a true Abrahamic religion as it was born out of the line of Ishmael while Judeo-Christianity was born out of the line of Isaac. Free will and freedom of choice are very much a product / condition of biblical teaching, read Paul's epistles to the different churches he approached similar conditions in each differently based on their culture, development, etc; Jesus was the same depending on the moral and cultural codes of the people he was dealing with e.g. Pharisees, tax collector, fishermen, doctors, gentiles, etc. I think one needs to be very careful that we don't lump all religions into one basket especially with Islam, Islam is unique and particularly immoral. Have you ever wondered why Jesus explicitly demonstrated the need for separation of church and state?

@@mikew7397 So I presume you are not a creationist and don't believe (as the Anglican archbishop of Armagh,Usher worked out from the begats in the genealogy of Jesus)that the earth is about six thousand years old?The Christian church has been forced to change by the sheer weight of scientific evidence otherwise it would have remained a laughing stock and irrelevant.I do admit however, and I often have argued this on line, that certain ideas in the Christian message often unintentionally have in the fullness of time led to me admirable freedoms that we enjoy in western civilization-one of them being the emphasis on literacy and Bible reading especially in the Protestant denominations which led to these places being the first to have universal literacy and where we have that we have enquiring minds.

@@kaloarepo288 Definitely not a believer in a 6000 year old planet. I'm a creationist only in that I believe in a creator and a beginning, everything evolves from that point on wards. @Friendly Exmuslim, Even if you were to use the concept of "Objective Morality" most apologists use, you can reject Islam & the Quran based on the fact that Christians and Muslims do not share the same Objective Morals, you could simply ask any Christian apologist if they believe or share the same "Objective Morals" as the Prophet of Islam, and the simple answer is no. Also, I found that the average Muslim does not actually understand the concept of "Objective Morality" even means and/or how does it work in reality.

@@FriendlyExmuslim Ok, I may phrase the following not entirely correct, so you could always ask a Christian apologist if I got it wrong. The concept of "Objective Morality" is that *the Source* and Origin *of all that is Good & Moral is God,* that is the claim, furthermore, apologists who make this claim would say that *all human beings even if they never heard of the Abrahamic God, they know in their hearts Right from Wrong,* this is the proof that Objective Morality is real, therefore; the Abrahamic God exists, if this is true, Christians & Muslims by default have the same "Objective Morals". No Christian apologist or Christian philosopher would ever accept that the so-called "Prophet of Islam" was an Objective Morally Good person. Hope that helps, have a good day. I never see people mention this, but the one that got me (one of the first, I should say) was when Mohammed went to Medina at the invitation of the Ansari and then the surah was revealed that said if you don't fight for Isalm you will go to hell. I had to look at the context when I read it, but sure enough, the Ansari invited a pacifist prophet to live with them, and he immediately began using them as a military resource. Can only imagine how dejected they must have felt that night after hearing his true intentions.

It is not allways good to reduce suffering. Otherwise you would give in to your toddler's every whim, and raising a child itself would be banned, and vaccination also. Suffering is sometimes unavoidable as a price to pay for something worth it. Every parent who works two jobs or makes sure to help with homework even at the cost of their leisure time suffers because of it (exhsustion, fatigue, stress), yet they all know it's worth it. My religious morality is objective Abdul: "God's Nice... Be Nice." It's quite a simple religion really. My God is so nice, I call Him the All-Niceness. He doesn't require worship cos He's nice that way. He's so nice, He's not bothered about differences in religion - He's nice to them all, including, atheists, and Muslims. We all know what it is to be nice. We were born nice. Niceness is just one word, it's an all inclusive philosophy - a one word religion. Just meditating on my God (Niceness) could heal all of humanity (which would be nice). As always, Abdul, a Nice presentation... Thanks for your tireless work. You are indeed a nice man... And remember, Niceness is next to Godliness. I think you are a natural messenger of the Religion of Niceness. Don't worry Abdul, Niceness has its secular branches too, we're an all inclusive group. A nice presentation. Keep on educating us all. Keep on being you. Blessings from the UK my friend :)

I don't disagree but I'm thinking whether it's that we come to understand better what is good for us, rather than it "evolving" and so secularism could claim objective morality. Anyway, I think the strongest argument in this video was that "what about new moral issues"... AI, robots for one. Quran is in no way eternal source for answer to moral dilemmas.

I'm not trying to say the guy was a liar or deceitful, but Muslims say that Muhammad was Al Ameen and was totally truthful and known by his enemies for telling the truth so therefore Islam is the truth. Obviously there would be some people enemies or not who would have said differently and would not have agreed that Muhammad was truthful, but that never seems to come up. so could we get a video that while not attacking Muhammad shows the different points of view and shows other people who aren't saying that he's always truthful? They show video segments where there is lets say, a circle, that is being treated unfairly by a trianle, they can see the reactions on the babies' faces that they put on a disatisfied look on their faces. They are unhappy with the triangle every time. We are born knowing right from wrong and having a visceral reaction to actions that are unfair or cause suffering is the norm.
