Rasheed I was 100% on board with your logic until recently. You see the sad reality is if there is this much corruption in an investigation it's not unheard of or impossible that the romanian authorities are being bought or bribed to falsify evidence against the tates. The big red flag for me was when the prosecutor refused to permit CCTV footage from hidden security cameras positioned INSIDE the tate's residence to be in the evidence case file. Logic would easily dictate that if you have victimization and crimes being committed against women inside a specific residence and God provides you with the miracle of CCTV footage of inside that very same residence, this footage would be THE MOST prominent evidence the prosecutor would want to present before a judge. The fact that this footage has been discarded is VERY telling about the agenda behind this investigation. Additionally the "victims" coming out and doing youtube videos and TV interviews saying that they are NOT victims and that the Tates are innocent and being set up just adds fuel to the fire that this is a high level hit job on the tates and I am already confident that NOTHING that happens in this case is going to be in accordance with justice or the rule of law. I think this is a fairly level headed assessment of the current situation.

@@pyrodon1910 to give more insight to the CCTV footage (although I haven't seen a good source of the information being genuine) , the video has to be from a neutral source to be accepted (even though it's not entirely illegal or anything) as evidence videos of any kind of any case are rarely accepted more because there was a time a big chunck of time where our law system had to confront with fake edited videos to the point it was ridiculous so past experiences of certain prosecutors made most of them skeptical about videos from sources that have parts in the investigation whether they are victims or suspects. While I don't think this is an excuse and I am not excusing our prosecutors for this , I just more insight as to why they act like this . As for the victims saying they are not victims and gave their consent is not a clause for justification as in acord to art 210 from the Criminal Code of Romania. Because the action of trafficking in of itself is illegal whether if it's through force or consent or payment their come out to say they are not victims it really doesn't matter as a defense this is directly from the criminal code of Romania this is art 210 : Trafficking in persons (1) Recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons for exploitation purposes: a) by means of coercion, abduction, deception, or abuse of power; b) by taking advantage of the inability of a person to defend him/herself or to express his/her will or of his/her blatant state of vulnerability; c) by giving and receiving payments or other benefits in exchange for the consent of an individual having authority over such person, shall be punishable by no less than 3 and no more than 10 years of imprisonment and a ban on the exercise of certain rights. (2) Trafficking in persons perpetrated by a public servant while fulfilling his/her professional duties and prerogatives shall be punishable by no less than 5 and no more than 12 years of imprisonment. (3) The consent of an individual who is a victim of trafficking does not represent a justifying ground.
