Dear Fr Luke Many thanks for your beautiful reflection on Sr Ruth. I had the tremendous privilege of knowing Sr Ruth and the Servant Sisters when they came to Roscommon! I met yourself at a gathering one day in Roscommon with Sr Ruth and all your Servant Sisters. We tried to establish a youth folk group to sing and play at the Saturday night vigil mass. It was incredible as one night when Sr Ruth came to our parish Adoration meeting she was amazed to find out we were from our old parish in Clonskeagh Milltown the Church of the Miraculous Medal in Bird Avenue Dublin! The Servant Sisters then thankfully got involved with the Eucharist Adoration and given us great talks at the Holy Hour in the parish. I had worked for many years with the youth and was involved in giving many schools retreats and parish talks. It often breaks my heart to see our country falling away from the faith our forefathers fought so hard to pass on! However I still have HOPE for our youth to be brought back into the faith and for them to evangelize their parents and elders who have fallen asleep in the faith! I am praying the 30 day Novena to the Holy Cloak of St Joseph and the Novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots for Sadly my broken marriage that I often spoke to Sr Ruth about! However now I have a direct line to her and Sr Clare! In praying for my miracle!!!! In my experience of doing many many school retreats I have come across so many situations where some of the students try to set you up in asking questions that they don’t necessarily want an answer! But want to run with the answer given to attack you with in the media etc So I often throw the question back at the person and then say well let’s look at what the scriptures say in relation to the question and let us draw our own conclusions!!!! I loved the photo you kept showing of Sr Ruth and especially that smirk 😏 she always had on her face! The beauty I find with us Irish is our sense of humor and being able to laugh through the often despairing situations we can find ourselves in! God bless you Fr Luke and all your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ

Father Luke- I have been blown away by these stories of Father Henry, Sister Clare and Sister Ruth. They make me rethink my thoughts on what I thought the path to holiness is. Especially with all this division between Novus Ordo and traditionalism - I’m just left speechless and impacted by your order.

Hi from Ireland.what a lovely joyful person SrRuth was,her joy shines out from her face.she was obviously very dear to her community.yes Fr.indeed Ireland needs a whole lot of prayer.it just doesn't feel like my Ireland anymore.its depressing how so many cant c d signs of our times even though they so obvious,so very plain to b seen.they don't want to c.people think we are crazy when we try to enlightened them.Sr Ruth reminds me of St.Teresa of Avila.once on a long journey when d wheel fell off d cart being driven by Sr.she gave out to God saying,if this is how u treat your friends it's no wonder u have so few.i always find that good,praying people have a great sense of humour.God bless Fr.pray for my children and grandchildren.🙏👍

Confession is not available here in Tallaght far as I can tell today. What do you advise? We are still looking and asking. Thank you for your prayers. I do think Ireland is in the cusp of a renewed & strengthened faith.

There's confession in the Carmelite Church off Grafton Street every day, twice a day generally. I'm not sure if that's of any use to you. I walked straight in on Monday lunchtime, no queue. I was delighted and upset in equal measure.
@TF80s3 жыл бұрын
Saint Savoir's on Dominick Street has Confession every morning and most of the day on Saturday...the queues are unreal on Saturdays. It's good to see. St Kevin's on Harrington Street has Confessions on Saturday and Sunday, you can look up the website for the time table. Then there's the Blessed Sacrament Chapel on O'Connell street..it has Confession and Adoration daily.

Ruth didn't grow up in Finglas... Ruth grew up in Dundrum a very nice part of the world. Her family moved from Finglas to Dundrum when she was young. Hardworking beautiful family and I am so touched to have known her when I was young. I cannot believe that she has passed. Her smile was radiant as was her presence. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5y9mHWeiLKGi68
