Thanks so much for this, Jet was a brilliant bass player and although he had his demons has was a great character in the music industry along with being a great guitarist. The pic showing Billy Fury, Joe Brown and Adam Faith along with Jet and Tony is a great illustration of British popular music masters! RIP Jet and thank you for the fabulous sounds you gave us!

Saw Jet twice on stage in the Isle of Wight, an amazing guy. We got a video of one of the gigs which we played when we heard he had died.

I will drink to that whiskey 🥃 please hold the ice ❄. Because it takes up too much space in the glass 🍸. Cheers 🥂

Yes such a waste of talent and potential 💔 I imagine getting on stage would be daunting also which leads so many to substance abuse. Thank you for watching so late Jayne and really hope you are enjoying the holidays ❤️🎅🎀🤗👍

I learned about Jet Harris a few years ago. Sadly, alcoholism destroyed a promising career. Cool photo with Little Richard and Sam Cooke (you should make episodes about both). So much good music from the UK in the 1950s went unnoticed here in the States. I wasn't even around.

Those days were certainly a buzz in the UK as they were in the US too ❤️ What exciting time for music the 60's were! I absolutely adore Sam Cooke and his voice is like honey. Chain Gang is my absolute fave! Will definitely do a vid on him soon 🤗 Unfortunately, my recent coverage of US artists hasn’t been getting much attention, which is a bit discouraging 😥 I tend to focus on underrated artists, one-hit wonders, or those I feel deserve more recognition, even if they don’t appeal to everyone. For me, it’s never been about featuring the most popular musicians for guaranteed views-it's always been about the artist and the music. At the same time, I want to ensure my audience enjoys the content too, which can make it a bit tricky to balance sometimes 🤔 At the end of the day as long as everyone is happy I'm truly happy... Music is my LOVE ❤️🎵 Thanks for watching and commenting as always my friend 🥰👍

I worked with Jet after the accident. I engineered his attempted return album. He was a nice guy, but never the same after the crash.

That's interesting you worked with Jet and good to hear you mention him as being a nice guy

Thank you for sharing your memories of Jet 🥰 I can't help but feel if that accident didn't happened his life would have been so different. A string of bad luck just seemed to follow after that sadly 😓 It goes to show in life nothing is promised and in a split second everything can change. Thank you again Colin for commenting and watching, much appreciated my friend 💯💕

After Jet, The Shadows was just a shadow of itself. Its most creative period was over and it regressed into a band making instrumental covers of other's music.

I liked Jet. Also liked the fact he went against the butter-wouldn't-melt image of The Shadows, crafted to back Cliff. Norrie Paramour had a lot to answer for.

The instrumental Diamonds is the tune he is most famous for.

What about the bass solo in 'Nivram'? Or, the the pushy bass lines in 'kontiki'?

1958-1959 to Pick up £25 per week was a lot of money when the average tradesman was earning £15 per week gross.

You mentioned a”cool photo” of him with Sam Cooke and Little Richard but you ignored Gene Vincent who is on the same picture Vincent was the coolest man on that pic

Of all the jobs to get, working in a pub is the last place he needed to be, other than drinking the pub’s profits
