Meet Sean Ledgerwood. When he's not working his office job, he's down in his "man cave" breathing new life into old machines.
This documentary was created as part of a 48 hours challenge. Everything from planning to the final edit was done in the 48 hour time frame.

That's awesome to finally see someone with a Last Action Hero pinball. That's the one pinball I had as a kid. Long story short, the movie bombed. That's how I got it.

If I'd the money I'd definitely buy a Pinball machine resp. have it imported. Williams High Speed was one of my alltime favourite machines!!

I understand the problem of limited space but then again: These machines are placed so close to each other that executing a slap save is impossible.

Excellent doc! Cherished collection. IMO it's soon time to sell one machine for a VR ready PC!

Pinball seems to be in full swing again these days. I'm sure there's plenty of private owners but they're in public places too.

Interesting personal story - we all have one of those to tell. There is a story out there of how pinball is coming back (if only for a short time) and how a new generation (the 'video game' generation) are starting to take interest. I'd like to see that documentary.

"Under the glass" is pretty good here on youtube, but I see what you mean. My connections are pretty limited in the pinball community, but if there's funding out there for it, I would hop on that opportunity for sure. Thanks for your feedback!

A pretty interesting watch. I have played a lot of pinball...and made a lot of documentaries. After about three minutes I noticed the info about the ‘48-hour challenge.’ Then everything started to make sense. You can only get so far in 48 hours, eh. What kind of cameras did you use? And what kind of mic for the main interview? I hate to think of how many of those 48 hours you spent working just to get it all looking and sounding good. Good job!

Thank you. So this was done using a Panasonic G7, and a Sony 6300, with a rode Filmmaker lav kit into a Zoom H4N. It feels like forever ago, but it was a great learning experience. Thanks for the feedback.

I wanted to get a pinball machine until I looked at the prices. That's a lot of quarters, no wonder arcades are mostly gone.

I was pinball, everywhere I went was where pinball machines are. I was the best in the city of Toronto at age four I was that good. I was so good I performed exhibitions at local arcades showing off ricochet shooting where you shoot the pinball with one flipper and blast it with the pinball from the other flipper into the intended target. I routinely blasted 3 balls into the gun slot on the Terminator 2 pinball machine busting the machine. This is Tommy Tutalidge from rec.game.pinball the man that rules the world of pinball and the greatest born natural athlete in any sport.

Seriously, they make a pinball "documentary" and 90% of the footage is some generic guy sitting on a stool yacking and yacking, 90% of which is boring nonsense. Boring as fuck. I have to assume this garbage was paid for by the generic guy sitting on the stool. I can't imagine another explanation.

It was actually part of a 48 hour challenge. Everything from the planning, to the final edit was made in 48 hours. Sean was kind enough to invite us into his home and chat about his passion on less than a days notice. Thanks for watching, and have a great day :)
