I wasn't even born when her plane crashed but since childhood, she had been a great motivation for me and infact most of the Indian girls. I still remember that there was a chapter in my English book about her and that made me admire her even more. My mother told me that when her plane crashed, she mourned the entire day and cried a lot. She is Kalpana Chawla, the women who taught Indian girls to dream bigger than ever before.

This video made me really emotional. When I was a kid, my sister who is 8 year elder to me had her room full with posters and quotes of Kalpana Chawla. What you are telling is absolutely true. But at the same time, there is no opportunity given to the newcomers, system is heavily corrupt to to the core. And then some one says, try to change the corrupt system by starting a new one. It is impossible in country like India. At least, in US and other countries like them, merit is placed over reservation and corruption.

It is very moving because I am very inspired by people who have a difficult start but they follow their dreams no matter what. She is inspiring .She went to the other side of the world to chase her dream . Her mission was so moving and important ,to inspire people and especially people from countries where there are no opportunities, to chase their dreams no matter what and that there are no limits to dreams .Her death was so sudden , seeing her a few moments before her death when she did not even know it . At least she died for her dream that trully mattered to her , she reached the stars and fullfiled her dream. A true inspiration in todays world where so few people are passionate about their dreams

1:50 As a person who has been closely associated with a family of astronauts, let me clarify - this selection process is extremely rigorous any even if you know how to fly a Boeing aircraft, there are chances that you won't be selected! Also, it's very Expensive, and I don't think that, from the background that she belonged she could have afforded that. So the only way would have been working her ass off for money and Scholarships!!

Us Americans, cherish Kaplana as our own. That’s the American way, doesn’t matter your origin, or where you came from. America is the land of the free! You can be who you want and come from wherever, I remember seeing this disaster all over the news and being saddened for the crew. Kaplana was so beautiful 😍

Just yesterday I was talking to a friend of mine. Yes a girl. 21. Final year of college. Quarantine was going quite ok for her. One fine day in October, her mom told her she was going to get married. There's no more to it. The man just shuts her up every time she starts to speak about a job. He says he doesn't want to listen to "feminist sh*t"? Idek man are y'all sane in the head?

I had read about her for the first time in class 3 maybe.... And I thought yaa.. people go to space she is just another person who went to space... But I feel it's such a big deal... Because she not just did an exceptional job back in time when going into space was a huge deal (atleast bigger than now) and she was a woman doing it... Even now we as a society don't give liberty to women. Just imagine how hard it would have been to that then. Waao!!

She had been my ideal for ages. She was so strong, educated, confident, and unapologetic personality. Don't understand why women today are more after makeup, physique, surgeries or to be fake then to be like her?
