Blessed Carlo Acutis has had a huge impact on me. Because of him I have a devotion to Our Eucharistic Lord. As a Millennial myself I am excited for him to be the first Millennial Saint. 🙂

I went to Assisi in Sept 2021. I went to a small Church and there was the tomb of Carlo. I got to pray at his tomb. I had heard of him ( I had been living in Italy for 24 years) What a wonderful young man.

Ryan thank you for sharing that moment you had with Bl.Carlo’s relic. I got the chills. When I’m at Mass and I look at the tabernacle , I often reflect on Carlo bc of his love of the Eucharist. It would be wonderful if all respected the very Body of Jesus … Bl. Carlo pray for us especially for the youth.

In Italy, children do not receive First Communion until the 3rd grade. Normally around Easter time. A little late. However, they receive Confirmation at the age of 13.

Same here in the US, depending on where the child is in their religious education and age. I believe it is a bit too young. I had no idea of the importance of what was taking place, which led to extremely poor catechesis. We all just thought it was a chance to dress up pretty and get a bunch of money, and had no clue of the significance. Needless to say I left the church as a teen, as did all of my friends, I never even got confirmed. I came back as an adult and went to RCIA, then got confirmed, when I was able to understand what was going on...fully.

My understanding is that Fr Rich's mother is seriously ill & he has taken leave from his priestly duties & other obligations in order to care for her. I think, didn’t St. Bernadette’s parents start out as pretty nominal too? I can’t remember where I heard that. (BTW: The Song of Bernadette is my all time favorite movie). Is there any word on Blessed Carlo’s canonization date yet? Maybe he and Blessed Pier Giorgio will be canonized together in one giant World Youth Canonization of the Holy Year 2025!! 💥💥💥 PS - Let’s also add Blessed Chiara Luce Badano into that canonization with PGF & CA! A trifecta of young saints for the Jubilee Year. Our Lady of Fátima, pray for us. 💙💙💙

I don't understand why the bodies of these extraordinary people are displayed. No doubt that blessed Carlo is a saint but the body is a corruptible vessel once the soul returns to God. It seems disrespectful and unnecessary. Can anyone explain this to me
