I think I disagree that an angel would be rejoicful in God's will being carried out if a soul went to hell. If God's children go to hell I would think it would pain God. In the visions of the Sacred Heart Jesus was saddened by those that sinned against him, right? I really like this conversation.... Also God is love and just like we love our children that reflects God's greater love for us as our Father, it feels disordered to think a loving father wouldn't feel sadness of justice being carried out on one of his children. Necessary perhaps. As a parent it's never fun to discipline our children. I would gravitate more towards our angels or ordered towards God's will for our lives which is love and eternity with Him. Angels were created with a full intellect so I would think they would be able tovunderstand God's will for each person and their damnation if needed.

I struggles this myself , I asked my self did I commit venial or mortal in every little thing like drinking my coffee if I have two cups of coffee or Pepsi or if I ate deserts like ice cream after a meal , is that sins of gluttony, did I commit venial or mortal sin? At rehearsal last month the music director, Tim told the choir about one of the recent weddings. As soon as Msgr. Tom said “ In the sight of God and these witnesses, I now pronounce you husband and wife.” the power went out. Fortunately, light was coming the stained glass windows and the candles were lit., so Msgr. was able to see as he concluded the mass. The organ wouldn’t play and Tim had to hum a few notes of the wedding march as the wedding party processed out of the front door of the chapel. An electronic transformer blew that afternoon and all of buildings on the street lost power for a couple hours.
