Everything about the life of Jesus, all that He does and all that He suffers, is both a revelation of God and the accomplishment of our salvation.
This is the culmination of the mysteries of Christ's life: that He came into the world to save us and to bring us back to the Father.
The Life of Christ (Aquinas 101) - Fr. Dominic Legge, O.P.

Thank you for sharing this reflection about the life Jesus Christ, it is quite profound. Meditation of the life of Christ is summed up in the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Mother, to be Joyful in the Truth, Sorrowful for our iniquities and the hope to live a Glorious eternal life with God. St Dominic de Guzman and St Thomas Aquinas, Pray for us!

@@TheSusaneneely In fact, the Canon List of the Bible was established back in 382 AD (Which includes the Deuterocanonicals, the 7 books of which you always call "Apocrypha" and was removed by Martin Luther without Authority), and it was compiled by the Council of Rome. Yes. You heard me. The Council where Protestants always accuse of idolatry, sin, heresy, and many more. If this is still not able to open your eyes, then I don't know what will.

@@jeremysmith7176 I am Protestant so we just go by the Bible. How can people's status change after they are dead?? Do you believe Thomas Aquinas is in purgatory somewhere?
@jeremysmith7176
@jeremysmith7176 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheSusaneneely What does either question have to do with the canonization process for the church recignizing and permitting the veneration of a saint? As for the question on where Thomas Aquinas is in the afterlife as the church has recognized his sainthood I believe he is in heaven. The question of how a soul can move doesn't seem to be an issue as Purgatory does not have to be a place. What we know is that nothing unclean can be in heaven Rev 21:27. Some sins can be forgiven in the lifeto come. Mark 3, Matthew 12, and Luke 12. When we die if we are heaven bound but not fully saintified our souls will be purged of any impurities or attachment to sins before/as we enter the heavenly bliss and experience the beautific vision. Purgatory is a procces and experience some of our departed brethren experience and our part of our hope of heaven. Just as we should pray for our brother and sisters here on earth for to help them progress in the Christian Life and it is good and proper, we should pray for our brothers and sisters undergoing their final purification. One last statement. You said that Protestant go by what the bible says. My impression is you've said that Protestant only go by what we think and interpret what the Bible says.

Jesus did miracles, not by his own divine attributes, but only from the Father through the Holy Spirit. The Gospel of John says this many times. That means he was emptied of his divine attributes, but with one exception: his identity. He kept his identity as the Logos (not sure that even qualifies as an attribute). That never changed when he became a man. This is why he was indeed God and man, not because he still had his attributes.
