The Life of David Gale Trailer - Directed by Alan Parker and starring Kevin Spacey, Lee Ritchey, Gabriel Mann, Matt Craven, Jim Beaver. Dr. David Gale, an advocate of eliminating the death penalty, is falsely accused of rape and murder. This film received low critics by the way it addresses the capitol punishment theme.. but in my personal opinion I .. my assessment is focused more in motives and thoughts of the characters (Wrong or good) and not about the debate of the capitol punishment I think it's an entertaining movie.. It keeps you interested in the story... the argument has some weak points..but it has some good ending.. I recommend it.. but it is not a movie that the will gain cult status...

It is a bad movie. People have different intentions of watching a movie. Some want to enjoy what they watch. Others look for a moral or philosophical meaning in it. I personally watch movies to enjoy them. You look for moral and deep philosophical stuff, that's what books are for. This movie is weird form of scary. I wouldn't recommend it. 😢

Since this wasn't a popular movie, it doesn't have a ton of clips. I just watched part of the ending, and just like 20 years ago, I'm confused by the two guys at the end. How they make an exchange of the suitcase, then the guy goes to an Spanish speaking country and gives cash to some random dude, then he sits in the theater. Just smaller storylines that I don't remember details of cuz I was so baffled by the ending, then they want to focus on that storyline at the end all of a sudden.

Great movie, but when I was in my teens originally, I really thought it was tragic. But with the law, it has to be reasonable doubt. Kevin Spacey's character was there, and intentionally planted evidence knowing it would come back to him. I mean seriously, what court wouldn't convict if they had your fingerprints on the bag that suffocated her? He did that intentionally, and this is a one in a 100 million chance that this would ever happen in real life. So I get why some people think the movie is a joke and rate it poorly, because the unrealistic nature of the situation turns you off, but it was a good movie otherwise.

It was a stunt they all set up. To show that even innocent people can be framed, and get an unfair death penalty. Hence, the group is against the death penalty. They it do it as an act, they sacrifice themselves for their cause.
