Treated like dirt in the country she was born; loved, respected and honored in a foreign land.

Yes, that's true. That's why France is recognizing her as a national hero in the Pantheon.

Good visual summary of this amazing woman. However, one small error: she was actually inducted in the Pantheon on 30 November 2021, NOT 2020.

Joséphine Baker fait totalement partie de l histoire et il était légitime qu'elle soit au Panthéon et l erreur absolut ces qu' elle n'y est pas été aussitôt son décè. Joséphine Baker éternel et intemporels pour des siecles.

I don't want to take away from her accomplishments because she is an amazing woman!!! But this video gives me 💡 that maybe if I move... The treatment I receive from others may change. I may actually be respected more somewhere else...

A lot of people still move to the USA for that exact reason. Ask an immigrant running their own business how they feel about your comment. The issue is as "black and white" as you make it out to be.

@@bhbluebird that’s great for the immigrant. it still does not give white Americans a cover for their violence towards Black and indigenous peoples.

How is it that all this time the only thing i knew about jb was bananas around her waist..she was phenomenal! Wow its interesting that in all the civil rights movements they never mention the women.. if they did there would likely be less misogyny in the community
