Jack Zahn James or Lily could've been secret keeper. The Fidelus Charm is a big plot hole in the series that makes stuff too convienant so it probably had to have errors. Why didn't Dumbledore or Flamel use it to hide Philosopher's Stone. Why didn't Voldemort make a secret keeper to hide a Horcrux and get the secret keeper to give him the location of the Horcrux and then kill the secret keeper and then he would be the secret keeper and so on.

What if Sirius Black was the secret keeper for the Potters, but he also did something that could’ve saved James, Lily, & Harry? Sirius is the secret keeper of the Potter family’s location, but then he is captured and interrogated by Lord Voldemort. This is where Sirius could’ve used sacrificial protection for the Potters if he were to die. Voldemort would give him a chance to live, if he confessed about the Potters’ location and whereabouts, but he would die if he refused. Sirius would refuse and willingly give up his life for James, Lily, & Harry out of pure love for them, and Voldemort kills him. His death would endow a powerful magical protection on the Potter family and help them survive if Voldemort ever found them and cast the killing curse on them.

Admit it or not, The Marauders era is the era most loved by HP fans. How I wish JK would write a new series focusing on the Marauders and their generation. Another fun fact is their wand cores are the 3 supreme cores that Ollivander uses in his wand. Hermione’s is dragon heartstrings the most powerful of the 3 cores; Ron’s core is unicorn hair may be less powerful than the other 2 but it has the ideal magical consistency; finally Harry’s is a Phoenix core the most independent and has the greatest range of magic.

You're not the only one who had that late epiphany. What's NOT explained in the books is exactly how lab techs--assuming St. Mungo's Hospital employs them--distinguish between blood samples taken from pureblood, half-blood, and Muggle-born wizards. What trait distinguishes itself among the blood types? For example, does the blood of a pureblood clot only with the blood taken from another pureblood wizard or it doesn't clot with blood taken from a Muggle-born wizard? Or is the one trait that distinguishes between purebloods and Muggle-borns based in the smell of the blood or the absence of an odor, e.g., a Muggle wizard has a bad smell but the blood from the pureblood has none or a different odor? Is the odor of a Muggle-born wizard really what gives them away as Draco Malfoy insinuates in Book 6, when he's getting fitted for his 6th year robes? That was a scene that was deleted from the Half-Blood Prince movie even though the scene itself took many pages of the book to happen.

Honestly it shocks me sometimes and makes me sad that this is the usual interpretation of his character, even when I was a kid I just assumed everyone else also thought he was gay- his personal life details are so vague and all his interactions with girls were frivolous, but he cared about remus deeply from the moment he met him and they clearly understood each other better than anyone else. So rest assured whether it was romantic or not (doesn't matter, there are other kinds of love!) sirius definitely loved lupin and was loved by him. They even got to live together for a time, I think viewing him as lonely really forgets his bond with lupin

Can you imagine having a Mom who goes around blasting people off the family tree just because they marry wizards who aren't born into pureblood families? That situation reminds me of the movie "Mommy Dearest" with Faye Dunaway in the lead role as Joan Crawford screaming "No more wire hangers!" at her daughter Christina. On top of that, her portrait in the hall of Grimmauld Place shrieks in horror whenever a half-blood wizard enters the family homestead. Harry equals Sirius' life more than that The two had a fear of being sorted into Slytherin and in the end they followed their best friend and chose Gryffindor. Book Snape's death was the sad death of a character who wasn't given the chance (or did not take an opportunity) to redeem himself. Yes, he was cruel to Harry, cruel as a teacher, although still remaining very ethical, but Book Snape was not as calm and rational as Movie Snape and I think that was just as intended. Sirius would refuse and willingly give up his life for James, Lily, & Harry out of pure love for them, and Voldemort kills him. His death would endow a powerful magical protection on the Potter family and help them survive if Voldemort ever found them and cast the killing curse on them.

The stories would have been different. Severus would be happier, he would have had proper friends tp guide him along a lit path, he wouldn't have become a death eater, the potters might have survived, that's if someone else didn't hear the prophecy. If someone else did, then Lupin, wouldn't have been alone and Harry would have had three father figures from the start that he could depend on as Severus, sirius and Lupin would have possibly kept in contact with him while he was living with the Dursleys, or Severus, Sirius and Lupin would have raised him between the three of them. Oh and instead of wormtail being an animagus, Severus would have been one himself.
