For her feast day, Let us pray this Litany for her prayers to mitigate some of the punishment we deserve, to obtain special graces, and for the salvation of souls. Here is a beautifully done and well-narrated Litany in her honor. Blessed Feast Day!

Saints are very close to God, so we just ask them to pray for us. They are not themselves the Way, but can help us to find the Way. But they are friends already in heaven.

@@wendyfield7708 “Saints”according to The Bible are all genuine believers. Catholic Church “make” their “saints” In reality only GOD knows and decide who really repented. GOD forbids praying to and for the dead- read Deu 18:11, Isa8:19-20, Jer 7:18-20. If you do so you are praying to demons. GOD’s WORD has to be taken seriously-GOD says what HE means GOD means what HE says

Your latest comment shows why individual interpretation of scripture, which is seemingly very contradictory, needs the official interpretation by the Church handed down to us by St.Peter’s successors….the Church which gave us the New Testament, the Church founded by Christ, God AND MAN, and which He promised He would be with until the end of time. Such proclaimed saints such as Catherine of Siena does not mean that there are not ordinary unknown people who are also saints, but that they are specially chosen, and held up as models of exceptional Christian virtue and living to encourage the rest of us mere mortals. There is no harm in asking them to pray with us and for us to Christ the Mediator with the Father. +

@@wendyfield7708 You are praying to a sinner instead to The Living God?- you are breaking at least few commandments of GOD by doing that. The 1st and 4th. “Saints” according to The Bible are all genuine believers NOT people elevated to that position by The Church!

@@annablazejowski3862 Asking a “sinner” to pray with us and for us is NOT praying TO them. It’s like asking a good friend to pray with you. We are all sinners. Perhaps you are not English and misunderstand my English. God is the Creator, and we are all just creatures….albeit loved by Him, even though none of us is perfect. Just saying you believe in Jesus does not make you a saint. + Good night.
