Is this a true story ? Or a legend ?

The fantastical stories of "refusing breastmilk on Wednesday and Fridays" takes away from the life of this wonderful saint. It is not necessary or helpful when these frills are added on to saints lives to make them "extra holy." His life and works are enough, he nurses his mother's breast like all children and ate oil in his food as a child. Choose to tell the story in it's truth, these small "harmless" exaggerations pollute the story and make it less relatable to us normal, god-fearing people. Thank you for your videos.

Honest question: how do you know they were "fantastical stories"?

@Ben Dunway This is a personal opinion. Valid as an opinion, but should be accepted as only that. Also, there are no "normal god-fearing people." There is nothing normal or ordinary about the divine fear of God. "Normal" in our day is being above accepting what seems to one not to have been written for the tastes of more refined and self-respecting people.

Signs of God's grace sometimes show up in strange ways to show that someone is consecrated to God in a special way. Is God not capable of miracles? If God can become flesh and blood under the appearance of bread and wine, I have no problem believing in lesser miracles - such as an infant fasting by the grace of God. Unless there is actual evidence that these things were fabricated, I would not be so bold as to claim it takes away from the story of the saint. It is perfectly relatable because whenever hearing of the saints we should apply to our own lives what we can apply while admiring the rest.
