I forgot to mention that I truly believe it is imperative that laity begin to really take note and recognize that we have a huge role to play here in the Church. Not to be a loud mouth and hate on people and complain about clergy, but to keep watch over everyone’s back and say or do something if something needs to be done or something is coming off a bit whacky and be able to bring attention to it without starting fires and wars everywhere. Us Americans especially, we don’t know how to talk to people without being all emotional and offensive in speech. Once the person has some sort of control over their emotions then they can become instrumental in facilitating communication between laity and clergy. Gentlemen brothers, if we don’t do this, it will get ugly. I want my children to grow up in a still in tact and very Orthodox Church. What condition will we hand the Church over to God when we die? When He inspects it, will He find our imprint to be a great addition to the structure? Or will He find our part to be an infectious disease causing catastrophic harm to its structure? May we truly hold onto God Lord help us ✝️🙏🏻☦️🕊️

As a former adherent to Catholicism I now refuse to refer to Catholicism as the Catholic Church as church of Catholicism is not, never has been, and never will be the Catholic Church. We have been conditioned to believe that the church of Catholicism is synonymous with the Catholic Church just because the word Catholic is in the word Catholicism when very well documented and thoroughly researched scholarship, both secular and religious, reveals that Catholicism is a 9th century invention of Charlemagne and has no connection to the One, Holy, Apostolic Catholic Church which has since been referred to as the Orthodox Church. Catholicism is the first among equals in terms of heterodox Christianities.

I think feminism happened for a reason. There have been many abuses toward women, abuses of men's ppwer over women. It only makes sense because men are naturally stronger. But of course it goes too far into full rebellion, the pendulum always swings too far.

This order was given to St. Pachomius of Egypt by an Angel, and was the rule he used at each hour of the day and night. It is a prayer rule that especially lends itself to memorisation, and as such is one that can be done in situations in which it is impractical for one to pray using a prayer book. Through the prayers of our holy Fathers, O Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us. Amen. Glory to You, our God, glory to You. Heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of truth, present and fulfils all things, the treasury of good and giver of life, come and dwell in us and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One. Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (3) Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the unto the ages of ages. Amen. All Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, be merciful to our sins, Master, forgive our transgressions. Holy One, visit us and heal our infirmities, for Your Name’s sake. Lord have mercy. (3) Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen. So what are women supposed to do? If I don’t work I can’t afford the place I have with my spouse, but that’s “competing with men.” So I have to start having kids? Even though I know I can’t afford them? As a woman why would I do anything but be a nun. I don’t want to be a priest, but what am I supposed to do? Just assist men for the rest of my life? Aren’t we ALL called to be servants to one another? Men and women are both supposed to be humble, right?

I'm not a spiritual or economic advisor and I do not know anything about your situation, but here's my take. You most likely live in america, where at this moment, it's very hard to live on a single income. What I would propose if you want to stay in such a country would be to live in a cheaper area and for your spouse to work and study for job that would offer a higher pay. Nobody is telling you not to work, you do what you feel you have to do, but no man wants to come home to a wife who is stressed and anxious from work and worrying about how they can live. What you can offer him if he chooses that path is support and patience, I'm not saying this is easy, on the contrary it's going to be a hard period, but that's how Christian life is. You can find a way together with the guidance of God, but you can't reach Him if you are constantly around the noise and distractions of this world. Try to release some of the pressure of the expectations you have for your life, don't be guided by your own will, but His. There is always a solution, it might not be the most comfortable or romantic, but it also doesn't have to be going down the ascetic path, not everyone is called to become a monk, priest or nun. Feel free to give some feedback and I'll try to help.

Orthodoxy is about balance. Sadly some people are ignorant of female saints that “worked.” The church is filled with holy and righteous queens who ruled kingdoms and influenced councils. The Proverbs 31 woman “worked” selling her goods to foreigners. The Holy Unmercenaries Saint Zenaida, Philonella, and Hermione were all doctors. We also have women saints who were writers. There is a place for women but the priesthood is off limits and there needs to be agreement on deaconesses. If you have a family, they come first before any position, title or career. We are to raise holy families if we have them and sometimes we need to choose. The world is filled with people who have great careers but their home life is in shambles and society is in shambles as a result.

@@StephanTudose I usually enjoy Timothy's videos but find it deeply degrading that most of the care given specifically to women by the church is condescending public rhetoric arguing that only men can take care of women. Work, take care of yourself, prioritize taking care of women. Someone needs to help our specific faction. Best of luck, Sister. <3

Greeting .. do you want to live a life that is pleasing to God or to the world? Trust in God, don't fear, the Lord will provide ... there are families with 10 children and they rejoice in the struggle. Try to dive deeper into the role of the husband and wife and you will see that a mature spiritual life together evolves into one of mutual obedience .. but you must desire to sacrifice and serve your husband without any return. This is our lives as women and wives with everyone in our lives - we serve because we love and we see Christ in others.

They shouldn’t have been surprised women performed well in high education and work. It’s not that woman can’t do things like man (intellectually), rather that she shouldn’t, she is shaped to give so she doesn’t need to prove her worth by providing. God did not make woman subservient to man because she was made ‘stupider’ like feminists would suggest.

As a growing gnostic, I am coming to realize that what these agnostic orthodox Christians do not understand is that between them and we actual gnostics, they are the only ones who are actually dualist, while they always call us dualist. They are the only ones who think God created a Devil that is, perhaps, eternally separable from Himself and His interests, while gnostics recognize ideas like this as mere rhetorical, symbolic language to aid in dying to the world. The world is the source of apparent duality, and dying to the world is at once the only path to fully recognizing the Unity of God and all things, and precisely what Jesus was telling everyone about. These New Pharisees have skillfully barred off the actual way to the kingdom of heaven for centuries.

@@blessedmikko Do you not know that Satan is a species of angel whose name means: "Opposer or Accuser"? Tempting and testing is their actual job and intended purpose in heaven, which they obey, as in the Book of Job. Angels cannot actually oppose God, because God is omnipotent and because they don't have free will. And Lucifer isn't the Devil. Lucifer is a product of folklore and mistranslation and is no real angel, but is the planet Venus, as used to metaphorically describe the sublime, near-Godliness of figures like the King of Tyre (to emphasize how great he would fall), and Jesus himself (to describe his spiritual closeness to God.). So it is your position that evil does not exist and everything is actually Good? That doesn't sound very Orthodox, or else it is a meaningless distinction, which amounts to proposing that there happen to be Bubbles of privation in the ocean of God or the Universe, whereupon the question naturally arises: "Who made these bubbles?" That Good is positive and white, and evil is negative and black, are not ontologically true; they're only apparently/phenomenologically true; a result of undigested fruit.
